PNP : Caulker is a free PL squad place (English, U23) . Merely by staying he allows the new kid to come into the squad without counting.
His game doesn't really rely on pace or strength. Spanish and very clever with the ball - 25m for a striker that for years has scored 20+ goals a season in la liga alone is a fair price. Not cheap but certainly not a rip off. And rvp is a year older and was in the last year of his contract. He'd have been 40m otherwise. And last year united won the league with his goals. Soldado is definitely worth the punt.
Yeah all fair point, just seems odd as he will have no real resell value which is usually what Levy is big on, unless it's parker who arry convinced Levy we needed. Just a bit wary we're over buying because of his buyout clause, but if he scored the goals to get us into the CL then none of that matters!

Exactly Spurm. The 'Levy met with Bale and his mum at the Lodge' classic the other day couldn't have happened as apparently the team flight from HK only arrived at 6:45am. Or perhaps they do what I do and took a flight that arrives just before 5am.
Hi Boss, good to have you back mate. just on this point, - I know we are all for the "resale value" in all the players we purchase, but sometimes you need a player like him who is experienced and will do a different, but fundamental job. (well he should do anyway). Perhaps we focus on this resale value element a bit too much? After all, experience and an age variety is key to a balanced squad. 25m will seem irrelevant if we get x millions for qualifying for the CL, IMO.
