no cheap sale from Leeds :emoticon-0116-evilg

you might have got morrison on the cheap but you will need to pay at least 8m if you want him......

not sure why he would want to go to you when he will be back in the championship the following season :emoticon-0103-cool:

I agree with the under evaluation. A more realistic price tag would be around 5 million with add ons. However this failed bid really shows what Lambert is trying to do. He's building a championship attack with some of the best players the championship has to offer. Once he starts to build the defence however, i believe he will look for premier league experience and knowhow. Players like Upson (who's already left so it would be a free) who I don't actually rate that highly but may improve at a lower skilled club. I haven't seen enough of luke chambers to have an opinion of him.

its a tough situation, if leeds were to recieve another offer maybe 5-6 million then your gonna get 3 situations. An accepted offer, a transfer request slammed in, or snoddy rejects both claims and demands to stay at leeds!

He loves the club and thats why i honestly think norwich will have to look elsewhere.

He turned down a move to Celtic because he wanted to develop slowly, I don't think he's going to be itching for a move to massive relegation candidates just because it means he gets a season in the Premiership.

He knows Lambert, they were together at livingston, players are desperate to get in and experience the "Norwich Magic"

Interesting to see Leeds fans disown their favourite son like a lepur, he'll go for 3.75mill

    Loiner........

Do you think you're good enough to go up this time?
This is a genuine question, not a wind up.
Reason I ask is because I'll be popping to the bookies soon to put on some bets.

We don't even know if this alleged bid took place, seems some nobody from the Times put it up on Twitter and then Sky and the Mail just repeated it. But if true, I'd say Bates wants at least £5m for him - the original tweet says we're "refusing to sell [Snodgrass]" (link). And no offence but there's nothing magical about Norwich City. You spent good money in the Football League, built a decent side and then got a decent manager who got them promoted.

I wouldn't bet on Leeds going up, there are safer options. Even if we get in the playoffs which I think is likely, I can't see us getting past the first leg, let alone winning under the pressure of Wembley.

Developing slowly and being loyal is all well and good but when the Prem comes calling it's very hard to refuse; even as you say, with the 'high' possibility of it only being for one season.

Surely our manager spent good money that got us promoted in the championship and galvanised a really **** bunch to win league 1

Lambert is the kingmaker, players want to play with/for him. He's Britains next world class manager.

Not only does he know Lambert but he was also a former team-mate of Wes Hoolahan at Livingston, so Wes could help him settle in if a fee could be agreed. As for £8m then Wes must be worth at least £16m!! I think we should offer £4m with add-ons rising to £4.5m

not been funny lads. But without sounding arrogant, Leeds United are one of very few clubs outside the top flight that can keep there star players. Even if the premiership comes calling. Bar the top

The only way norwich would get snoddy would be if we were to accept an we couldnt refuse. Its simple.

    Like you did with Beckford?

Give me one example were Leeds have "Held onto a player" when premier league teams have shown interest.

We do our transfer dealings in secret - how am I supposed to know when a Premiership team has made bids for Leeds players?

The funny season has well and truly started i see, where do people get these figure from .....its laughable, sorry but how can any championship player be worth 8 million???? Its not like hes an international super star is he? or have i missed something??? Lambert is not going to pay stupid money for any player and i will happily go without even for 4 million, theres 'as' good players cheaper waiting to be discovered and who are crying out for a shot at the big time.

Every season the prices of players get pumped up year after year until finally the bubble will burst (the end is near IMO), then all these greedy tikes will be out of a job and crying. When is this lunacy going to end???

The thing is its not just about one season in the Premier League. If he signs for us and has a good season but we still go down, he knows he'll have no problem getting another move to a Premier League club, if he wants one.
