Woooooooo So true!............................ Cannot see Caulker going to Kairdiff in a million years, why risk your career, on a move to legoland!............ please log in to view this image
Wow! That's the hardest slap I have seen in a while. When a Spurs fan puts Swansea first in a list of top half clubs in that context you know it will hurt
This is a load of hype. There is no way he is leaving Spurs as Vertonghen is a serious doubt for the start of the season
£7,5m quid is seriously undervalued. Anyway, im sure Spurs got bigger things to worry about in terms of business deals and that's the world record transfer fee for Gareth Bale to Madrid. cant exactly see levy holding a conference call with Madrid AND Malky can you ? ...
don't see him going there, I could see Caulker watching the Ashley Williams situation very closely in January/next summer and if Ash were to leave for an Arsenal, he wouldnt exactly be bottom of the list to replace him. Starting job in a top 10 side he's spent a season on loan at isnt a bad 2nd prize if it doesnt work out for him at Spurs. Certainly more attractive than signing a mid/long term contract with a team very likely to be involved in a survival battle, regardless of what those (insert your chosen word for them here) think.
So if Ash plays against Malmo, does that mean if he went to Arsenal he couldn't play in the Champions League?
You are 100% correct...as long as we go on to qualify for the group stages ourselves (rule 18.07) Even if he is sold after playing just that game and a few weeks later we are in the group stages, he becomes cup tied. If he is sold after the 1 game and we dont qualify, he is no longer cup tied. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/...ity-of-cup-tied-players-in-uefa-competitions/
by the look of last night's highlights he'd be nailed on for the start every single game, but itd be an illogical move for me. Its a gamble and its one i really dont see he needs to take at this stage in his career. He's getting games for Spurs, he's in the England setup, spurs have injury concerns and have released Gallas since last season, why gamble on a team that could go down in exchange for a regular start he could well get at spurs (or a more established premier league team than cardiff) in the near future. Doesnt need to take the risk of potentially having to move back into the premiership on the back of a year conceding goals and having to dig out team mates even their own fans say don't look ready for the premier league at this point. Stay at spurs son
I would be surprised to see him go there but it would be an incredible signing by the Eastern block. Not sure Spurs really want to get rid either so im still not convinced on this one, credit to malky if he pulls this off though.
It's a World Cup season so all players will know they have to be playing as much as possible to have a chance of getting in the squad.... maybe that's in Caulkers thinking.
Fair point but its not like this would be the last major tournament he'd ever be in consideration for, he's 21 and has 1 England cap.
I generally don't indulge in Cardiff bashing but I genuinely do believe they will struggle this season. If they prove me wrong so be it and well done them but I, along with the bookies, think they stand a good chance of going down. Consequently, how on earth does Caulker believe that playing for a team which is likely to concede goals left right and centre, will help his claims for an England place? I don't see it.
