http://thechriswhitingshow.wordpress.com/2013/07/29/english-footballs-biggest-clubs-revealed/ Id have us higher and surely Swansea should be at a similar position to Wigan?
Good post Hilts! This further instils the beliefs by the footballing world that we are indeed Welsh Giants in football.
Are you ahead of Barcelona yet though, you are bigger than them after all !...... So big Tom Ince preferred to stay at Blackpool !!
NJ, better asking the guy who created the survey on that one but we'll obviously be closer to them than the Swans...
Swanselona I am pleased to say I agree with you. There are a lot of clubs above us both on that table who have since mightily fallen from grace. Leeds, Wolves, Sheff. Weds and Utd., Preston, Pompey, Cov and more. All those named have enjoyed, are enjoying or are about to enjoy time in Div 1 or below since their heydays. I won't say it can happen to any club as the top 4 and some others are bomb proof but it shows you can't rest on your laurels.
It's pretty much based on history, and ours is only just starting, so when it's updated next, the Mighty Swans will be some where near the top!.....................
Surely if it's based on history then shouldn't we be at the bottom?? Seeing as we have none and all that
Best to wait and see if you stay up before getting carried away , just yet. Probably doesn't take into account what was won by who last season anyway. You can keep the past (1927 and all that), we'll just enjoy the present and future
Now and the future is all that matters mate. It may be beneficial to airbrush your last 90 years too as apart from a cup win via a Rhondda born Arsenal goalkeeper throwing the ball in his own net you've had less to cheer than us
Yes. But we have had two top flight spells to your one in 51 years before your promotion this summer. Has the sleeping giant finally woken up for good or was it just to take a p*ss as his prostate was playing up?
The thing is with this article is it's based upon clubs' history and we are clearly the biggest Welsh club overall.
