If you want to top yourself, and there's a doctor willing to help you do it in the least distressing way possible, I don't see that the government has any right to extend your suffering.
You've hit on the fly in the ointment there. If you were a doctor would you be willing to end someone's life even for all the right reasons? That's the crux of the problem.

Plenty of youngsters doing exactly the same thing. And at least the oldies don't spit and swear or threaten to cut your head off.
