http://www.kilburntimes.co.uk/qpr/q...simply_not_ready_for_the_new_season_1_2307548 The prediction of Zamora as top goal scorer and Faurlin as the Most Valuable Player from the author Chris King Let the debate begin............ I'll start by saying Andy Johnson as top scorer and Most Valuable Player will be Suk Young after he plays a 7 out of 10 every single game Phillip Lahm style
Zamora top scorer? dont make me laugh! As for Faurlin, I dont think he will be given the chance to be the MVP.
Sounds like it is the perfect ruse for Harry to get the team to bond ............ "Nobody gives us a chance", Everyone says we've got buckleys", "Were doomed " So Harry, put all the newspapers on the dressing room walls ........... get the boys together and spell it out to them, the old reversed physiology or alike does work. Fact is, Harry must motivate the team. If he can't get up for it, no one will. I know some major rugby league teams have done it here on grand final days gone by. Wayne Bennetts' Bronco's to name one........... it does work. My overall point is that Harry and the team could dwell on it or use it for motivation to kick the season off. We the fans are up for it.
Some signings have been made, including veteran defender Richard Dunne, 33, who looks set to forge one of the least mobile defensive partnerships in history with Clint Hill, 34. can we get nelson back
Lads time to get into character ... no team will be ready in the championship IMO. Because of the American style bollocks of the transfer window no has their teams yet. We have to win during this uncertainly window IMO as the points will make the difference
Agreed but an injury to Onuoha leaves us with a pairing with a combined age of 67 and not a single back up CB.
We're doomed if Zamora is our top scorer, he is well past his best! "Although an expert yesterday tipped QPR to bounce back immediately, primarily due to the presence of manager Harry Redknapp, he could yet prove to be the problem, rather than the solution" I'm beginning to believe that this is the crux of the problem, team motivation and direction must come from the manager and his team of coaches. He cannot rely on the reputation of players to drive and lead them, if points were awarded for reputation, we'd still be in the Premier League.
Anton could piss this league if he gets his head right plus we have Mbia Flyer time to tune up mate and get into character you are like me QPR for a reason don't let it eat you. we are going to win the league
Im not sure either will be here and frankly, playing Ferdinand is probably more of a worry than playing someone like Yun or Simpson at CB in an emergency.
Find a handy 14 year old who's prepared to run for 2, play him alongside me and we beat the Dunne/Hill age combo. My childhood dreams are alive. This age thing is tricky though. Maldini, Pirlo etc playing on into their late 30s, you'd have them in a heartbeat. Not that I am comparing Dunne and Hill to those guys.....
I think Ferdinand would be fine in this league as cover. It's now sounding like Mbia might be staying too, so more CB cover there.
AJ being top scorer for us is a good shout. However this depends on how fit he stays but he does owe us after last season. Simpson is another who has a lot to prove so I am hoping he does well......
