Shame on us indeed <rofl> Cazorla, Giroud, Podolski, Arteta, Chamberlain, Monreal, Jenkinson, Sagan, Verm, Per, Kos, Ryo and those are just the ones still with us <rofl>
Shame on us coming from the supporter of the dumbasses who wasted 35 MILLION on ANDY CARROLL <rofl>
Even if we did buy nobody I assure you we'd finish convincingly ahead of Liverfool once again <ok>

Good faith is an American legal term, it's not open to interpretation. If a bid is made over a certain amount, the selling club is obligated to enter into negotiations based on that clause. It simply allows the buying club to talk with the player which has been conveniently overlooked by the British media.

"Good faith" negotiations means reaching a mutually agreeable outcome for all parties involved in contractual act.

Anyway, I'm not saying anymore for now. Hopefully more will become clear in the weeks ahead as I think this one will rumble on for some time.

EDIT: Agreeing at 40 in contract & then raising to 55, cutting off talks is arguable breach of good faith.

The bid was clearly meant to make Arsenal look clever at Liverpool's expense. If he'd just bid £41m, or maybe even £40.5m then things could have been cordial. Wenger put his ego ahead of the best interests of Arsenal yet again.

You know. If you were a Manc I'd understand where all that smugness was coming from. But you being a Liverpool fan and all, it is hilarious seeing such misplaced arrogance emanating from that crackhole of yours.
It is akin to seeing a Leeds fan trashing Arsenal.

Why put an extra million pounds on a deal to trigger a contract clause if £1 will do it?

Without wishing to sound like i'm defending Wenger, if the clause was triggered with an offer over £40 million, he could have just bid 1 pence over the required amount.

Because the £1 had all the subtlety of an elephant in a china shop and shows just how arrogantly out of touch your club has become. So now, if you want Saurez it's a case of shows even more money or just crawl away.

If you start to play games during a negotiation don't be surprised when you find that you don't hold as many cards as the people that you are supposed to be negotiating with.

Because the £40 was never going to be the figure so to us it was irrelevant.

Your club and your fans (the majority on this board anyway) have been shown to be over-confident amateurs. Now you are going to have to pay the price publically. Every club that you try and negotiate with will have seen the mess that you have created and understand your desperation and hike up their price.

    So suck it up gooners!!!

<laugh> Coming from the club who always thinks next year will be their year? Give me a break.

Instead of being partisan, praise the man when he deserves praise. It's the mature thing to do.

What has he done recently that deserves praise? With someone more assertive in charge, we could have signed Higuain, Fellaini, Julio Cesar and a CB by now, and we would be in a good place to start the season, with all the new players settling in.

Arsene is now as sharp as a 600 year old rusted butter knife.

Only blinkered and paranoid Liverpool fans can make it seem like a normal bid is a crime against humanity.
Another thing that's amusing is how they hang at the end of every word their club makes about 'not selling' and the fans setting the price themselves. "Suarez won't go for £60 million." As if what they say matters. <laugh>
These are the same clowns who were adamant Torres was going nowhere.
No stress though. The future's bright with the likes of ASAP and other faceless players.

Must say, I'm finding it tough to give Wenger much credit at the moment, to be honest. I support and always will support Arsenal but he really does test the supporters' patience sometimes. I thought that this summer would be different, but alas, here we find ourselves at the end of July with no signings to show for it. Patience wearing thin, but I am hanging on, for now.
