often with those run o da mill handicappers , once they've had their win, thats it for a while,so not often will i back em next time, but like Cap Elorn --which has won its last two-- Strobe tommorrow at Perth goes for a hat trick --for na unreliable horse it seems to have turned a new leaf-- its in a better race, but current form is always important and receiving weight all round will be worth a punt !

Was on my way home from work Stick. Had 10 minutes to kill before the train so went in the bookies. Race had just started and saw it. Walked out when won cursing why I only looked at Goodwood this morning as would have done it!! Nice price again to.

Lesson learnt. Thanks for last time.

I think its important to watch the manner of victory rude and work out in your own mind if they are still ahead of the handicapper with a penalty. Also are the conditions still the same or at least suitable. Cap Elorn was so obviously well weighted which is why the trainer paid a visit to the stewards room after his first win.

Sorry Ollie I should have put it up again but to be honest I think he was the last winner I tipped and a week is a long time in this game!

indeed stick, but how many times have horses seemed to have won easy, and then next time behave as if shot --sure its never an exact science, if you take that horse Strobe--it was all out to win first time, had to work a bit more next time , but still won well, tomorrow it may well have to raise its game again, but that may well happen when its in such form. Stables such as Lawney Hill are adept at getting a run of wins out of animals , as are a few others who when on form, you can almost follow blind...

I actually prefer one that keeps pulling out a bit more rudey, horses that win a race easily can often be "soft" when made to battle! Jonjo is a good example of when he gets a horse to win they often follow up but I put that down to them often gaining a false handicap mark during their novice hurdle campaigns!

stick-- i concur , a great battler of a horse is what you want, Persian Punch and Desert Orchid were such--but they were exceptional!
