I'd agree with that OFH. I don't know too much about Udiense and Granada but one would imagine their best bet is staying in the tiop leaguie every year with the hope of a bot of Europa league. If they're well established it would stand to reason to let us have some of the risng stars so we can get into the top flight too.

I thought they had bought Slovenian club FC Koper last month - may be wrong though.

We are just one big group now and seemingly the Pozzos can convince most of their 'assets' to move about as they see fit. How I'm not sure but fair play to them. We will therefore sell when it suits the whole group but in reality if players go back to Udinese then some of the 'assets' will just be moving back so not really a sale. We are probably the main focus at the moment because we can access some serious money if we go up.

No, not at all, why on earth would you think that!???? You said that the players could all be loaned back to Udinese/Granada at any point, I said that would be unlikely as the reason they moved to us in the first place is because they hardly got any first team football at Udinese/Granada i.e their managers obviously did not rate them that much, so they are hardly going to want to return are they. Understand?

This is the main difference between the "Continental model" and "UK model" of football club hierarchy. In the former, you have the "Director of Football" who is responsible (amongst other tasks) for the buying and selling of players and the "Technical Director/Coach" who is responsible for moulding the players at his disposal into a winning team. In the UK model, you have the "Manager" who effectively does both, although the commercial negotiations are often handled with the assistance of a director.

So far, the "Continental Model" has not been very successful here - the Pardew/Kinnear situation will, I am sure, end in tears for one or the other.

I suspect GFZ can only recommend and certainly not insist upon the players he would like to join Watford and will have certain players imposed upon him by the Pozzos.

This was explained at the start of last season. GV said that he puts in a request for the type of player he wants. The 'group' finds one/some. GV then has the right of veto.
