If this bid on the table for a week then levy is playing a blinder. In that week Madrid have incriminated themselves in tapping up and their top 2 (Perez and zidane) have whipped themselves and the press into such a lather about bale that they will look like absolute jokers if they don't get him. Levy has them over a barrel and is unzipping his flies. Levy has shown he will force a player to stay, Madrid have no cards whatsoever. I'm beginning to think he will go, but the deal is gonna be unreal. They can laugh and mock about the £125m but they've backed themselves into a corner and I really think a £100m deal _might_ be on
But he played at Swansea and was quality. He should have had more games last year. He went backwards if anything. How gallas was chosen at times, I will never know. There could well be more to this.
"the rumoured replacement is this guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vlad_Chiriche%C8%99" That has Baldini written all over it.
I know great footballers generally have to have that streak of arrogance that pushes then just that little bit further but has Gareth Bale actually looked at the list of British players that have "failed"* at European clubs? There is some astonishing talent on it. Hell, Beckham in the modern era is probably the only one and he is the least talented by a country mile. Had more to do with his PR offensive and winning smile (probably). John Charles is the only one who can really be held up as a huge success and that man was a colossus. Also did it well over 60 years ago now. The gates to Real *spit* Madrid should have "Hope abandon all ye who enter here" written above them as a warning. *For a given value of failure
One other possibility not mentioned is Joe Lewis, not mentioned much at all but the recent meeting with Levy and AVB is well known, if him and Levy have commercial ventures planned involving Bale as the advertising spearhead, he won't be going anywhere. DL is the master of contracts players can't wriggle out of, if they go its his terms only, if he wants them to stay then thats the end of it. Anyway, seeing as Daniel seems to be on point, shall we move on?
I am utterly sane and completely balanced, and will continue to chainsaw anyone who says any different into little pieces.
The Chav's must be really worried that Bale is staying, and we might be their main rivals for a top 4place,there are still 3 thread's about us on their board, they never post so much about other team's just us,because they know we will be the real deal very soon!
How many people outside of Spurs hate the fact the club has a player like Bale ?? Answer : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBKXu3Kg4yg
Roo : @Emishor: BREAKING: Steaua manager Reghecampf confirms #THFC's offer for Chiriches. League president Dragomir: "Deal done, player sold to Spurs 1. Moving faster than the most deluded ITKs. 2. In Baldini we trust.
Would be gutted if we sold Caulker. Loan him, yeah. But sell him, NO! Why sell a player who has the potential to become a mainstay in the Spurs England national team in years to come? Makes no sense to me. With Kaboul becoming Ledley v2.0 and Dawson nearing 30, I just don't see any logic selling Caulker. Chiriches looks likely to join now, the Steaua manager has supposedly confirmed that he'll join on Monday. Not seen him play bar a 3 minute youtube vid I watched 10 minutes ago so haven't a clue if he's any good. Is he better than what we have? Anyone know?
Just rumours (there has been press traffic today about Caulker and Cardiff) . Khumalo is the one probably packing his bags tonight.
Surely not? He's worth way more than that. Plus we need him, we are always getting centre halves injured. I wouldn't mind him starting alongside Vertonghen with Kaboul at right back to our some pressure on Walker to allow Caulker to start. Isn't Kaboul meant to be one of the fastest at the club? And he was good at right back. Am I remembering right it was his cross to crouch against city in the game that secured us champions league a few years back?
Cannot see a loan out once you have done a stint at a PL club. You enter a "use it or lose it" scenario. Same for Naughton/Livermore/Rose etc.
Cardiff are saying it's just twitter talk at the moment, with 2 C/B's injured i can't see him going ,will be disappointed if he does
Just seen this and was about to post it. I wonder how credible this guy is? Still haven't seen 1 report on google Saying its done.
