It's not me that keeps starting threads with claims that Chelsea are/were always a 'big club' and Spurs are a 'small club'. I probably should just let such idiocy go as the terms are essentially meaninglessness anyway but many Chelsea fans don't seem to realise that their club barely troubled the scorers before 1995.
Something that hasn't happened yet, in the future, dependent on a new stadium being built, which hasn't been started yet, is a fact. Even with a new stadium you will be miles behind Chelsea and Liverpool commercially and have less money. PS What is Cliff Jones saying about Bale? If Bale wants to stay at a Europa League club, why does he not come out and say so to end the rumours?
Because he's negotiating a new contract? I don't know whether he is happy to stay or not, but he'd be daft to say so while he is trying to get the best deal. If he's decided to go, why are even negotiating a new contract?
I've no idea, but I would imagine that he would be urging Bale to stay at Spurs. The thing is, Real Madrid is, now, so desperate to get Bale that silly money is being offered, an amount that no sensible club could possibly turn down. As much as I rate Bale, there is absolutely no way that he is worth the £125m that Levy is demanding, and if Real is stupid enough to agree to pay that sum for him, I'd be disappointed if the club didn't take it. That is, of course, if all the bollocks being spouted in the media is actually true.
I might be in the minority but as much as I don't think Bale (or any player) is worth £85m I don't think Real are "crazy" for paying it. Real have the cash and Perez needs to get Bale to stay on as Real President. He's a desperate man willing to do whatever it takes. Plus, you can probably buy Spurs (the entire club) for £350-400m. Based on last season, is Bale worth 1/5 of the club? Easily. He was arguably the difference between a 5th and 8th placed finish last season,
Harsh. Madrid won't want Bale at 27, they generally like their players to be between 24-26 (at their peak). It's a fantastic opportunity and you never know if they'll come again. As a football fan I wouldn't want to see Bale gone, but as a Chelsea fan I would. It now means Madrid won't come in for Hazard over the next 18 months as they'll probably be focusing on Gundogan, the defence and another CF which they'll probably get in Falcao.
Bale is not 'worth' the sorts of figures that Real are banding about - in footballing terms anyway, but to the spuds he is priceless. Without him they would have finished behind Liverpool last season. But the problem for them now is that with a want away player, they need to cash in now, rather than risk his stock tumbling next season and Real stealing him from them for a snippet of what they are offering now.
No player is worth that money, but that is where we are at, it's supply and demand,All thank's to the money bag teams, now they have to pay ,what they created
