I don't post much these days but I thought the members of the original 606 should know the sad news that Roy Taylor, (BLUEBIRDBLUEMOON, BBBM,) amongst various user names he was forced to use, has passed away. Roy was a true Legend on this board and it would be great if it were possible for newer members to go back and read some of the stuff he would post, though I don't think that his posts are available now. He truly was the scourge of the Jacks and Wurzels. But he was also a good friend and would like a drink with other board members like BluefromBridgend, HT, Atreyu, myself and others. R.I.P. ROY
Like a few others on here, I've known about Roy's problems for the past 18 months. They were never made public because of his family's wishes - and that's the way it was. A true gem on this board and the old 606. He has been, and will be sadly missed by me and the rest of the Cardiff members. RIP Roy - you were a stalwart Cardiff supporter. We salute you.
I never met Roy but had some great fun with him on BBC606 and this board, he was very witty and could stop wums in their track with a few words. RIP Roy a true Bluebird
Such sad news although not unexpected. He is already greatly missed on our board not only for his humour but also for the way he refused to give in to any interlopers, whereever they were from. I'm sure he will now watch our games from the best seat in the house. Sincere condolences to his family. I hope someone advises the club so his passing can be mentioned at a forthcoming game. Anyone up for a pint or two at the Insole in Roy's memory after the Man City game?
Sad news and a shame he didn't get to see us play in the Premiership. Puts everything else into perspective. RIP
I remember him from 606 - always sad to hear this news regardless of who they support. My condolences to his family.
So sad to hear this news, really enjoyed BBBM posting in the old 606. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
Just in case it's got missed by some members because Pete didn't mention it in his OP. we are talking about Proph here. His original BBBM tag was because of his association with Man City through his location in his younger days, but he was always a Bluebird through and through. Missed him on here this past 18 months, and that wont change.
Just seen this, absolutely dumbstruck, brilliant board member on here and the old 606, terrible loss. Condolences to his family, he will be greatly missed I know. RIP Roy, you were one of the best.
I think most of us Bluebirds knew it was Prophet and yes he has been missed over the last 18 months, I used to love his posts and the way he would talk about the people he met when walking his dog also the good work he did for local football. He will be sadly missed by most of the people he gave a small part of his life too.
gutted 2 read this thread...proph was like my dad on here and ive missed him greatly.......I was always in hope he would get back on his feet and live life 2the full again but it was not 2 be...............PROPHET A TRUE GENT AND A GREAT FORUM FRIEND. My thoughts are with his family and close friends at this sad time. PROPHET A TRUE BLUE
He was a legend, a Cardiff fan with a soft spot for Man city. R.I.P. Roy, Your battles with certain supporters made for the most entertaining of days, but the best read was always when the big guns got together and made threads of pure humour and the maddest word association thread. Condolences to his family
True 606 legend - remember his posts so well. Witty, scathing, but sympathetic when needed. R.I.P. Prophet.
Very sad news to hear. I remember prophet often winding up vetch on 606. Enjoyed his posts a lot. Condolences to all that knew and liked him. up the bluebirds!!
legend on both the old BBC and here too, great for banter and a chat about footie alike. he left a bit of a void when he left the forum, and this site is a worse one without him. RIP Roy.
