I have no problem with Sess staying so long as we get far more consistency from him though. A good game every 4 or 5 is no use to anyone, including him.

Sunderland have offered Sessegnon for sale to Besiktas - but he's said publicly he wants to stay (The Times)

Or are they taking the Fernandes link putting 2 +2 together and getting 46?

Just want to know everyones ideas about Sesegnon.

I have recently read a lot of opinions about us needing an attacking midfielder and it being an important position to fill. Personally - I think we have one of the best outside of the top 4 in Sessegnon to play the attacking midfielder role.

He is, IMO, the best footballer we have at the club. Has a talent that cannot be taken away and has made some very good midfielders and defenders look very foolish over recent seasons. Last season at home against Man City he tore Kompany a new arsehole and that is no exaggeration.

My opinion isn't what matters but people come on saying how we really need an attacking midfielder in the SIDE - personally, we haveone - we may need competition for his place but he certainly doesn't need replacing.

Agree Marcus, I think at the very least we keep him until January. If things are'nt going to plan then sell (if price is right) I for one would be happy for us to keep this mercurial midfielder.

So what's his best position to do all this work?

Damn good player on his day...whenever that is.

Best player at the club, and I include Giacch in that.

Were he from france, or Spain, or Italy, rather than Benin, who knows where he'd be.

I think he would work as an attacking midfielder, he's not been the best there in the past but the standard around him is significantly higher.

    Fletch - Jozy
    Giacc - Sess - AJ
    ------Cabral

Is unquestionably the best we've had in my lifetime, and all this 'need 2 holders, no cover' is utter horse ****, if a CDM is athletic enough, one is enough.

Sess' is cannot do the defensive side of being an attacking midfielder. Just my opinion. Leave him where he is.
