anyone need a good laugh 'Manchester United are planning a £25m bid to sign Luka Modric, 27, from Real Madrid after coming to the realisation that they are unlikely to secure any of their primary transfer targets'.
Oh no, i'm starting to falter, is Bale leaving? I still have seen no evidence to suggest he is but its EVERYWHERE, i can't get away from it. Its wearing me down. Help me Spurs fans! Tell me everything will be ok and our squad won't disintegrate! Waaaaaaaaaaah!
“You made me a promise. You promised me if we didn’t qualify for the Champions League and a good offer turned up you’d listen to it. Well that offer has arrived and I want to play for Real Madrid. So keep your word and negotiate. I’m not interested in Manchester United or any other club. I only want to play for Real Madrid.” - Modric 2012 (and Bale 2013) quote according to Marca
Look's like we are not the only one's playing hardball,Dortmund seem to be doing the same over Lewandowski(?spelling)
The Dortmund manger said that he understands that Lewandowski wants to play for Bayern but he has to the right thing by the club. Are you listening Mr Levy and are you paying attention Snr Perez (spit!)
Who is after him tots? Real too? Utd? Bayern? edit - Never mind, seen perryman's reply Maybe we should start up a relationship (no, hear me out) with clubs like Dortmund and Ajax to prevent the bullying tactics, somehow, of the Bayerns/Reals/Utds/Chavs of this world
Hardly surprising. There's be blood on the streets of Dortmund if they sold their two best players to their rivals in the same window.
Great advert for a move, that - move to Real *spits* Madrid, and lose 25% of your transfer value in the space of a year.
Rat boy will be in the press quicker than a rat up a drainpipe suggesting Bale moves to Utd. Just you wait. ****
And this is the "quote" that the Sun used in their article today "Bale: Let Me Leave Spurs": http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/5035797/Gareth-Bale-tells-Tottenham-I-want-to-join-Real-Madrid.html He is reported to have said: “You made me a promise. You promised me if we didn’t qualify for the Champions League and a good offer turned up you’d listen to it. “Well that offer has arrived and I want to play for Real Madrid. So keep your word and negotiate.” They are just copying each other and not even using new source material! And people are taking all this seriously. I say again, Bale may well leave but these rags know nothing about it. And I'm sure they've prepared a face saving headline such as "Spurs unreasonable demands scuppers transfer".
Its utterly disgusting. I'm not clicking any links or buying any publications of these bullshit companies and i hope they all go out of business. I highly doubt it was a real Modric quote either. Just totally made up. The fact they had the nerve to wheel out the EXACT same quote for Bale just a year later when he plays for the same team is unbelievable.
THIS is why I love Levy - and you know what, I wouldn't put t past levy to get more ban £100m for him - of anyone could do it he can.
Taking the quotes from Marca? A little embarrassing. Finding out that Marca just re-used Modric's supposed tantrum and changed the words a little? http://www.101greatgoals.com/blog/m...r-rehash-a-modric-quote-apply-to-gareth-bale/
Trouble is, it doesn't matter how ridiculous Marca act, they'll still sell papers and our media will still reference the story because the more stories they churn out about Bale the better as far as they're concerned.
Soldado is coming Gareth. Stay and we can push not just for top 4 but we can push to win the thing. Next season you have the option of leaving Tottenham who are just about to make history where you would become a legend. So your options, leave now 125million thanks very much and toddle off to Madrid to become yet another star player, just like Linekar or Owen (Ask them how they enjoyed themselves) OR you can become a legend at Spurs and push them on and then leave to indulge your Madrid fantasies. Or who knows you might even want to stay at Spurs by then and become the biggest player in the biggest league in the world. Your choice mate. Apart from the small matter of 125million that is.
what are the odds on us winning more trophies than Real madrid next year? Granted we're not _that_ likely to win one, but Real may well not either.
