    As there's not much news in transfers can I have a transfer wish? Luc Castaignos! Not a rumour AFAIK - but one striker I might like to see in red and white, well mostly red now!

    Edit: Well he seems to score a fair few goals. Not sure what the experts think?

    That'll be because he's painfully unproven. The fee West Ham had accepted was reported to be £7m, hardly a bargain.

    People always look at the negatives of unproven players. He may turn out to be a dud, but he may not. Nobody will know if you don't try. But I do see your point. Osvaldo and Damiao are obviously of greater pedigree and hence their higher transfer fees.

    Nice one, -DTLW. Can I just mention that in the case of Saints, the DEAL and BUMPER NEW DEAL must coincide on any given Thursday evening during the Transfer Window. Perhaps you can add that detail..? :)

    Ever read Sartres book about a group of annoying dead people trapped forever in a hotel lobby. I am beginning to suspect that all of us on here are trapped in limbo, forever discussing the same transfers. Meanwhile Saints, in the real world, have been European Champions four times.
