Szczeszsnzey looks pretty good, but do we think he can cope with a whole season as 1st team goalie?

Fabianski is at the kinda age where he needs to be playing 1st team football so he could be away. Almunia is surely away as he is now a corpse.

So do we need someone to back Szczeszsnzey or be ahead of him?
    What do we all think!?

big question is who gets the #1 shirt for next season. Fabianski was on a great run of form before his injury, and it's such a shame he got injured. Chesney came in and did a good job, he seems more commanding, but he's still inexperienced.

I don't think a new GK is required, as it would hinder both of the others. A lot of people seem to want Chesney as #1 next season, I'm not so sure. Fabianski if he can come back with the same form he left could be great. Chesney is younger, and should maybe stay as no2 for a couple of seasons before he comes in.

Rumour was Craig Gordon has only a year left on his contract. That would be an interesting one. He's a fantastic keeper and still quite young.

Flappyhandski was indeed doing very well before his injury assuming we completely ignore the Braga away match (waaah). For me, I like Chesney Hawkes as I feel he has Flappy's ability but more potential. Also, I very much enjoyed his half smile after jumping for the ball and landing on Bale's head. Good lad.

Fabiansi as first choice to be given the number 1 shirt. Szczesny to get FA cup and later rounds in the Carling cup games, with Mannone getting the earlier ones. Also give Szczezzers the occasional PL game to keep him happy. he can have the 21 shirt if he wants as well.

Szezcny is infinitely better than fabianski, he is commanding and a good shot-stopper, future world-class keeper. I am terrified that he would leave if we handed fabianski the no1 shirt. The more games he plays the better his decision making will get.

Fabianski looked very assured before his injury. Bare in mind that the end of season slump involved Chesney in goal for the majority of it.

I rate him, hugely, I'm just not sure he's ready for the constant pressure of a Premier League season. I wouldn't mind Fabianski being no1 next season, with Chesney getting BOTH FA Cup and Carling Cup games. If Fabianski makes a howler, then exchange, until Chesney makes a howler, then change back. Competition is healthy and has been sorely missing in the team in the last couple of years.

The problem is Arsenal fans seem to have very short memories.

Fabianski had a run of decent performances at the start of last Season (5-6 games) then he got injured and thats what fans remember.
(the same thing happened with Almunia two Seasons ago, he got injured Fabianksi stepped in, made some high profile errors and fans started bigging up the talents of the Spaniard)

For the amount of appearances Fabianksi already has a decent sized reel of bloopers. I would go as far to say he's the most error prone keeper in the league (excluding Gomez). Soo what if he's a good shot-stopper? Im fed up with crazzy goalkeeping costing us valuable points while the likes of United and Chelsea field experinced Seasoned Internationals.

Sometimes we should take off the rose tinted spectacles and view are players objectively. If Flappyanksi played for United we would view him very differently.

I want Steklenburg, Neuer or Reina.

I don't think we need a keeper. Szczesny has impressed me and Flappy is able back up.

I really like Fabianski. He's maturing later than most but he's now pretty solid and also he's certainly a gooner. Just remember his reaction after saving that penalty v Partisan Belgrade which led to his run as No.1. I think half a season as No.1 and then switch over to Szczesny. That will give Wojciech a bit more time to mature himself and work on certain aspects of his game.

Add in Manonne, and Martinez in a few years and we've got ourselves a conundrum. We'll probably also have a heavier wallet when we sell one or two of them.

Szczesny is good enough - another keeper would be good but we have bigger worries to spend our money on. Are we allowed to swear on here?
