I've just read that Modric has said that Spurs must spend big this summer or he could quit. It's in The Sun so it could just be rubbish but suppose it's not?

Absolutely no quotes from Modric or even his agent and a stupid £25m price tag is mentioned once again.
I wonder how much Ferguson thinks he can get him for? <doh>
    Prick.

Pav seems to think that he'll be signing a contract extension, though.
    That they have quotes for.
Yeah, the story that they haven't run with.

It bothers me that Harry talks about other clubs so much. Why has a full time premier league manager got a column in The Sun for ?

Allardyce to West Ham could be a strange one. Next season even if Parker, Ba, etc leave he'll still have the strongest squad in the league by a long way. Big Sam isn't used to being the one with all the best players and being the team that throws everything forward to break down the opposition. That said he's achieved alot on fairly meagre budgets and if he can get promotion next season he'll be back in his comfort zone creating hardworking teams that are difficult to break down and can grind out results, which I'm sure is what the Porno Del Boys really want.

I think that West Ham will have a massive clearout, though.
They'll keep as many of their youngsters as possible, let Allardyce bring in some of his own players (Diouf?) and get the wage budget right down.

Villa want Ancelotti,I think if Harry leaves us for no fault of his own that we should get him. He did very well for Chelsea and which Milan slips me but he would be perfect for us.

Martin Jol in pole position for Fulham. Another manager probably there for a year. I don't see much of a future at Fulham for any manager because I don't see much of a future for Fulham. Again it seems to be a job for Chris Hughton,a London club would suit him perfectly.

Allerdyce achieved what he did at Bolton with a fairly big support staff of sport scientists, nutritionists etc. In that way I guess he was a true innovator, but I doubt the Chuckle Brothers running the Spammers at the moment ( along with Janette "Jimmy" Krankie) will want to spend that kind of money. I think the operation will be a much slimmer one. Whether big Sam can perform under these circumstances is anybody's guess.

Have you all seen the gossip on the BBC website? I can't take it all in. We've been turned down for Dembele,is that good or bad?

Dembele is a good player but I'd be a bit wary about him not becoming an improvement on what we've already got.

Doesn't roll off the tongue does it?

From what little I've seen of him he can play a bit deeper which might suit us so we don't have to completely change how we play everytime VDV gets injured.
