I'm pleased he's being loyal to the squad, even if he does fall out with at least one of them on a weekly basis, but seriously? No more signings?! Defensively we still look very low in numbers.
As John Fallen pointed out to me earlier, its where we are at the end of the season that counts, so frankly, NO we have not struggled under Pearson. Promotion or Play offs. Not too shabby.
And still where did we finish? You can over analyse 16 games FF and completely write off the first 29 games of the season. You balance the season out and we finished 6th which is still very hard to do in a difficult league
Still Wolves managed to fall straight through the League and Blackburn wasnt too far behind them. Up until the final 3rd of the season Bolton was struggling
... all true - but doesn't disprove the point that this was one of the most average championship seasons in living memory.
That old chestnut! We lets see what happens this season. Hopefully they will surprise us all. doubtful but I live in hope!
At the start of the season its become quite a cliche "that this season will be even harder then last season". While yes we did let ourselves down massively at the end of it but you have to take a level header approach. There was alot of positives to take from last season aswell as negatives. More positives though
Exactly. There's always fancied teams that under-perform (and I mean really under-perform, not like us, but like Wolves) and always surprise packages (Hull). Then there's the teams always up there, that have to keep chipping away but eventually make it (Cardiff and us hopefully). It rarely goes as planned and comparing a season that hasn't even started to last year in terms of quality is ridiculous.
