Where did we finish under Sven when we were favourites? Are we to sack our manager every we're picked out at random by the bookies to go up but don't?

... the bookies have Pearson as 2/1 second favourite to be sacked (behind Paul Ince) ... do you think that's because the bookies have blown last season's run out of proportion?... or that they are manipulating stats? - personally I see it more as indicative of our most recent form but also an (outside and arguably more objective) view of Nigel's management ... but each to their own ... that's what makes the forum of interest.

When was the last time we wasnt favourite with the bookies for something.

We favourites to win the league nearly every year but it doesnt happen so why should Nigel win the sack race because the bookies have him down as favourite?

So what do you call the bookies making us favourites for the league 3 years in a row?

Bookies dont have a clue about the championship, they never have and never will because it doesnt attract people like the Premier League

We all know that the expectations are high here. Wherever there's expectations, there's a high risk of a sacking taking place. That's really not hard to work out.

Depends who the punters put their money on. I bet a few were sent out of business in Hull this year!

Who says it is? - but your theory fits at least half of the teams in the Championship this season ... Nigel's still second favorite ... because the bookies think that he has the recent history of particular under performing and is therefore most under pressure ... both true for me (and I'm not alone)

in all honesty I'm surprised he isn't the favourite to go and most of been very close to getting the boot last season IF he gets off to a bad start I don't think your board will give him more than the first six games , if you look throughout the full league I don't see many if any more managers with as much pressure on him as Pearson , whether you guys expect a poor season or not your board will expect Pearson to at least be challenging for the top six, your starting eleven is good and if you hit the ground running could go a long way however a bad start and I will be amazed if Pearson makes it much past the transfer window .

He wont make it to the transfer window if results dont go his way, but if QPR get a horrible start, i can see Redknapp overtaking Pearson in the sack race, QPR got relegated and expect auto promotion, if they are say 10th after 10 games, Redknapp is much more likely to get sacked than Pearson. Nb Bolton Wolves and BBurn last season.

Pearson will be aiming for top 6, but 'arry will need to be aiming at top 2.

I don't think so. How many club's owners have spend what ours have over the last three years? I would say Pearson plus the three relegated teams (although, maybe not Wigan, they might not be expecting much) would be favourites to sack their managers should things not go as planned. Probably followed by Blackburn (insecure club), Bolton (will expect improvement on last season) and Forest (both of the previous reasons). You probably need to add Ince there somewhere because something appears to be going on behind the scenes.
