Hmm. The Ferrari-Alonso dream starting to turn sour perhaps? It's very easy to make the link that this is the first criticism we've ever seen said about Alonso from the team and it comes days after the Red Bull rumours start.
I'm not sad if the whole team imploded for the stunt they pulled after Brazil 2012. The Silverarrows will do what the Fiat couldn't, beat Red Bull!
Yup... he'd been quite vocal for a while if I remember correctly. Wound up with no seat for '92 as a result.
Maybe that's what he wants them to do? But, bit risky, it could back fire, for example, Ferrari may ask him to leave, RedBull may look to fill the vacant seat with one of Kimi or Ricardo (although I think Vergne is the better driver) Where would he go? McLaren are unlikely to take him back? He won't go to Mercedes, last time he was paired with Hamilton that didn't end well! Lotus? Wouldn't be too bad a shout, he'd bring loads of funding with him in the form of Santander which the team wouldn't object too!
Prost also got a massive pay-off from Ferrari not to drive for anyone in 1992... and now Alonso's plan becomes clear
Prost called the 1991 Ferrari (after they built a brand new car mid-season) a truck. P45 swiftly followed. Prost was also causing a huge political rift within Ferrari itself which in the end appeared to backfire on him as well.
Would be ironic, should Vettel leave for Ferrari, he does a Schumi and takes Horner and Newey with him!
OK, i'm going on my (admittedly shaky) memory, but if i'm correct in saying, this will be the first time any Ferrari has ever had a V6 engine? They don't make any road cars with V6 engines, and didn't they use a V12 during the last turbo era?
