Easily replaceable. Needs other players to do the work for him which means he is replaceable. He could do a job in the championship, but i'm sure many others could do the same job.
Yeah but we need to replace the GK, LW, RW, CB and 2 CF before we even think about replacing him. This is what got us into this mess in the 1st place. replacing players that were easily good enough for a squad place while being hopelessly short in other areas. We lost our identity without getting any better while spending millions in the process.
[aulin got on his contract? I agree we need to replace other areas. GK? no we don't. If/when Cesar goes we have 2 good keepers still. We still have a copious amount of CMs though that we don't all need. I'd sooner see Derry go than Faurlin, and Mbia should be used as a CB which solves one issue.
We're in a league where the majority of teams are of a similar standard. My main hopes were Faurlin and Granero bossing possession and Taarabt providing the cutting edge (throw Remy in the mix and we'd be oozing class). As it stands, I can see us having 45% possession at home and grinding out results in a gritty fashion (and I doubt that's easy to do consistently over 46 games). Hoping that our confidence sapped wingers can carry us is not something that I'd bank on for a creative spark. I can't muster much confidence in the direction that our club is heading.
Why should he refer to the club as 'us'? He's only been there 10 bloody minutes! I'm no HR apologist but just judge him on what happens on the pitch next season and not some two line soundbyte on some two bob web page. HR knows full well that if he fails at Rangers his career is probably over which, frankly, is the only motivation the man should need.
If he goes, it's an awful decision. Decisions like this could shape our season before its even started
Dreadful to let him go. Easily replaceable !!!!! Really ????? I think our efforts at replacements speak for themselves over the past two years. No one worth keeping is easily replaceable and Faulin is well worth keeping. As with Mackie, if this is true, once again, wrong player targeted for exit.
I like Ale as a player and seems a decent guy. He always tries for us and was briliant in our promotion season. TBH he was the only one of our promoted team that i thought would cut it. Got injured in a stupid cup game (that i was at !) and he hasnt been the same since I really would be a shame to let him go, but i think his playing ability on the pitch is replacable. Whether his attitude, commitment and love for the club can be replaced, is a very diffrent story. Personally I find it hard to believe. depends if we want to keep players who can play and have a passion for our club. Or if we want players that can do a job. After the past 2 seasons, I know which i'd prefer.
Tony's latest tweet ( which I don't know how to put up ) says that ale is his favourite hoop and that he hopes he returns to form soon. not sure does he mean for us or elsewhere?
