I think this thread proves that those who want Hamilton to loose are in no way better fans than those who want him to win. It's a sport, enjoy it or don't bother watching It. Spouting hate may be enjoyable to some but it's not a healthy lifestyle once you have to cope with the real world.
Can't see the problem (sorry, issue) with supporting any driver or team, or any British driver if you're British, etc. I think it's also ok to have an anti-hero. There was always a lot of like/hate going on between Senna and Prost fans, for example, but the Troll hadn't been invented then. We all know the vast majority of motorsport fans love the sport for what it is, have our own opinions on where drivers/teams stand, and have some understanding of the technical issues which affect racing. We also like to discuss matters with other genuine followers. Those who develop a hatred of particular drivers and constantly feel the need to make their opinions known are perhaps either very young or emotionally unintelligent and should be ignored. I, for one, very much enjoy reading the genuine and informed opinions on here even if I don't always agree with them. But then if we all agreed...
Don't know what you're talking about. My inbox is nowhere near full. Definitely haven't just been deleting some messages.
yeah well you're entitled to your opinion but actual evidence disagrees and personally to me it's incredibly obvious especially when you start reading more about him, he seems to believe F1 should just be 'the Hamilton show' and apparently when he joined McLaren was told "don't worry if you're 0.5 of a second slower than Alonso" and he just laughed inside at the notion because he "knew it wouldn't be the case", his arrogance and mentality is apparent on the track constantly; the most obvious and undeniable example being Hockenheim last year where his race was over yet he felt the need to feed his ego by going back out and overtaking the leaders, a completely pointless act, dangerous even, but it's âthe Hamilton showâ so he has to be centre of attention. When you look at his behaviour on and off the track since he started in F1 and how absurdly privileged he's been, the idea that heâs âno differentâ seems completely stupid...to me at least. The problem is i don't want the sport to be about 1 driver nor do i think it should be, Hamilton wants it to be just about him, hence why i don't like him.The sad thing is it looks fairly inevitable that he'll get his way, which obviously Hamilton fans will think is the best thing ever, even though as i've already said will just be the same as Vettel winning year after year, which apparently is really "boring" as is always claimed whenever he gets on pole or wins a race.
well, I go for a weekend away and a Hamilbomb drops on 606. Gotta say that as the person most generally on the other end of Manny's tears his posts don't really look like his type of insult, although him spitting venom at others when he gets upset is nothing new, the wording is wrong. As t the GP, really enjoyed it, was a good race with, surprise surprise for the hungarian GP, lots of good and brave over-taking, was really disappointed with Grosjeans move on Massa being penalised, 50/50 on whether it was an illegal off the track over take by Grosjean, or crowding by Massa, felt the same way about Lewis overtaking Webber, looked like he totally crowded Webber off the track, but if the stewards have your name, like they do Ramina, then you're going to get the blame most of the time.
I have created a dedicated thread for Manny-Gate. if we could use that as to not crowd here that would be great thanks.
Try Hard 2: Try Harder, starring Lewis Hamilton as John McClane, Garth Vader as Holly Gennaro, and whoever as the ****e villain in the 2nd die hard film. Seriously, it sucks.
Where was Alonso this weekend? He just seemed to be so anonymous throughout the whole weekend I barely noticed he was even in the race.
You normally expect him to come into the frame during the race as Ferrari seem to have better race pace than quali, but he just didn't seem to be there!
The Ferrari is pretty much the 4th fastest car on the grid right now (behind Lotus, Mercedes and Red Bull), he was never really going to be up there.
That's what he goes around telling everyone but normally his race pace is good and ends up on the podium.
