Those players who some thought Arsenal should have signed did really well then.

Rmours that Palace are interetsed in a loan deal for Chamakh. Good news if its true, more money off the wage bill.

For me though Wanyama is a much better player. I would still like to see him at Arsenal.

Not Capoue though, he may be big and athletic but his passing accuracy is terrible.

Might as well keep him for now, in case Podolski and Giroud both get injured

I honestly reckon Akpom and Sanogo are now ahead of Chamakh in the pecking order

They keep statistics on that sort of thing nowadays now you know. It sort of means that they can tell how good a player's passing is. What they show, if you look up these two players, is that both of them are terrible (about 80%), but Capoue plays about twice as many key passes as Wanyama.

My guess is that the scouts and managers looking to buy them probably rely on this kind of more factual statistic than just an impression.

    Well done Sherlock.

I normally get moaned at for posting stats. But yeah 80% in a weak league is not good enough.

For me though Wanyama looks the more talented player.

I will not moan at you for posting stats. I think sometimes stats can be misinterpreted, but in this case your comment related directly to passing. I'd looked up Wanyama before, so I knew his passing was terrible and I was surprised that he was better than anyone.

I'd say it's the exact opposite actually.

Neil Lennon deserves a knighthood for selling Victor Wanyama for £12.5m, says Kenny Shiels

He's right, Wanyama is a terrible football player. Even his performance against Barcelona wasn't great, the performance that got him noticed, he can't pass to save his life, and he's highly unintelligent. The only thing he did against Barcelona was push physically weaker players off the ball, that's all he does. He'll soon be found out.

Never really seen Wanyama play, just the Barca tie. He was ok, a little overrated though.

I think very few people have. To me it's the story of much of the transfer window - the fans get mad that Wenger didn't sign a player they know next to nothing about.

True, that happens in a lot of cases though. I remember last season at around this time, everyone was going mad for Sahin and look how that ended up.

She also said that Arsenal and Liverpool MIGHT be able to reach an agreement for Suarez. 45m. <ok> Nothing concrete here, just speculation, for now.
