I watched him with my own eyes today (fancy that!?) and could clearly see he was head and shoulders above everyone in our defence. Can't honestly believe i'mm having a debate on this. It was so obvious.

    Give over <laugh>

So, please point out where he didn't 'do so well' today because I saw a near faultless performance.

    ****ing hell <laugh>

Nobody thought he was ****, or good in fact, because as you've said, it was his debut. Nobody had seen him play before and he walked all over us. SKY couldn't get enough of him because on that day he was unreal. Obviously he's a talented player but his attitude off the pitch has ruined him.

That still doesn't mean he was brilliant against us though.

Leicester fans in defending their own player shocker.

Take a neutral look at it, eat your own ****ing 'humble pie' and admit that Wes Morgan didn't have a ****ing clue on how to defend against the worlds best striker. As was so totally ****ing obvious.

You're starting to grind and embarrass if i'm honest.

Personally - I thought Wes equited himself very well today - but Falcao also looked what he is - a class act - he puts the effort in where it's needed and only a very good save from Kasper stopped him coming off at half-time with two goals - when you are playing against somebody as good as him you have to accept that he will get chances - all things considered he will punish other defences more than he did ours - but he is a top notch striker without doubt - it's the way he judges his movement against the last defender and then the ability to get the ball under control and out from his feet that means he can get his shots on target that is impressive - Monaco will do well this year with Moutinho in the engine room and Facao as the finisher ... no doubt.

There you go the point I was making from the very start. I only said Wes would hold his own against Falcao. Other then wums and people who didnt go no one has said otherwise

AKCJ your getting this mixed up. Im not saying Falcao is crap, he didnt play particually well today and what ever way you look at things Wes did hold his own. The little joy Falcao did have was playing off St. Ledger.

Falcao is a very good footballer no doubt. IMO nowhere near worth 55M and I havent seen enough of him to say he is world class.

I know exactly what point you were making thankyou.

But the truth is, Wes looked in a totally different galaxy to Falcao and often gave him the equivalent space.

The biggest clubs in Europe were all willing to pay the 53m euro release clause he had in his contract. But obviously you know better.

What's annoying is that you know this but are desperate to prove people wrong.

AKCJ the thing with Wes and Falcao is they are a million miles apart. I never said otherwise

All I said is Wes wouldnt disgrace himself against Falcao. End of

Wes can walk away from that knowing he did a job. Regardless of how he dealt with him he did. Falcao never trouble Kasper once while going through Wes.

As regards to fees clubs are stupid. You only have to look at our own. What a footballer can be brought for is absurd. Looking at the market values of better players IMO like Rooney, Suarez and Van Persie shows they overpaid for Falcao.

As I said I havent seen enough of him to say he is world class or not but from what I have seen I wouldnt have bothered to break the bank for him if I was Monaco

One of the worlds best strikers just played an exhibition game and didn't even break sweat.

    Get a grip.

Can I wait and see if you sign anyone first?

You fell short last season and you have basically the same squad, competing in a league that I expect to be far more difficult to get out of next season.

You obviously have some good players(even if they're not as good as Proud thinks), but much will depend on who stays fit and who Nigel falls out with.

Personally, I'd put more money on Nigel being gone by Christmas, then I would on you being promoted, but a lot could still happen in the next couple of weeks.

Shift a couple more high earners and I'm sure Walshy can find you a couple of gems, there's still time to strengthen and I think you're only a few players off being one of the best teams in the league.

Pearson being quoted in the Mercury as saying 'no new signings' during transfer window - further, he makes the comment that there aren't going to be any 'additions to the squad' which seems to infer no loanees ... in fact his comments seem to me to be those of a man under immense pressure, to say the least.
