I loved Arca, He was exciting, hard working, skillfull and of course he ended Alan Shearers career and robbed him of his lap of honor. If it was for my favorite player than I would have gone Arca.

But as it's the best, and Sess being the best player I've ever seen in a sunderland shirt in my life let alone in the last 10 years so Sess takes it for me,

You've absolutely nailed it for me, almost word for word.

This should have been the final and both of these lads I absolutely worship from the North Stand, but Sessegnon is just ****ing magic.

I'll never, ever forget Julio, and some magic moments, my enduring image being the clearly, almost Mackem like joy on his face after a 90th minute equaliser v Arsenal, but ability wise, and ****ing hell Julio had a bit of touch too, Sess murders him.

Julio did play some of his best stuff for us at Championship level as well, and maybe his loyalty cost him, a move 2-3 years earlier and he may have gone far (as opposed to Teeside).

2 diamonds, and a shame we have to choose!

We now know the winner, by the way...

To be honest mate, he's the one I had to win from the off. Next summer I'll set up a favorite player, and set it up on cult hero's rather than a time bracket. I'll set it up as fair as possible rather than nicking it.

Who contributed more to the club?
Arca by a long long way. Loved the club and the fans and repayed us with consistent class (both on and off the pitch) for a number of years. Unfortunately the team around him prevented him from truly pushing his game. In my opinion, if he had been in a top 8 team he would have gone on to be twice the player he was for us and he would have had a lot of Argentina caps by developing around better players. It is sad to admit, but I think he damaged his career with his loyalty to us.

    Who is the better player?
Sess, by a decent margin. However, he has been inconsistent and has his heart ever really been truly at the club?

This all depends on if you are judging by contribution or talent.

Best player? I'm going for Sess, but I feel like I should be going for Arca

I'd say that comment is bang on the money, and similar in why I plumped Sess.

Think we'll see his best now as he seems to wanna be here and has bought into Pizzle, although what would we give for a 22 year old Arca at left back now?

I'm just glad the quality is higher than the other SF!

    Sess by a whisker...
