That was a fantastic day out at the open day. Bumped into plenty of mates who were all loving seeing the players. Everyone was smiling and I think all had a great day. Players and management alike are all raring to go and are very pozzotive. It is great to be able to get up close and personal with the players.
Evening, or whatever time of day it is where you are. A couple of busy days out and about, so just catching up. Missed the friendly yesterday, but from all that I read we are looking good. A better start to the season I hope, as for a long while last year we were playing catch up.
I see that someone went for a drink at the Yellow and Red Lion, only to find it closed. Anyone know what the latest on this part of the Baz business empire is?
The unofficial official word is that it should be open for the first home game. I have no idea about why its closed though.
Done a bit of research Dan and it is hoped to reopen for the first home game. I found out that funding was being sought, but Neil Price was not involved. There are a lot of legal things going on in the background. Baz did not file accounts and his Watford company was going to be wound up a month ago, but someone objected to the closure and it is still there. The whole pub thing was a disaster waiting to happen right from the start.
Cheers for that OFH, I have decided to steer well clear of it and those involved. Its hassle I dont want or need.
Evening all Weekend up in London babysitting Mrs H's grandson, aged two and a half. I have been on a trampoline, had my nose coloured red, made playdo spaghetti, watered the garden with a miniature watering can, played football in the park, read The Gruffalo and several other similar stories, jumped up and down a lot and shared a bowl of fish fingers. I am now in need of a rest... p.s. did manage to take in the Lowry exhibition before catching the train back.
This is an interesting read, particularly the comments from readers. http://thetwounfortunates.com/ttu-go-predicting-a-club-by-club-championship-preview/
Morning STH, morning all from a wet and cool Weston-super-Mare! Summer weather at last! Have a good day!
