Personally I'd keep the shirt with the current incumbent, but I think I'm part of a shrinking minority. Should Adel leave I don't think that we've got anyone worthy of the shirt; I'd follow John Gregory's precedent and not have a No. 10.
Obviously not in that class of #10, although he holds the #10 at Sunderland. I think he could possibly re-discover his goal scoring touch with us - a big strong tall bustling lad.
he is just the kind of striker we are looking for big strong and powerfull as long as he can hold the ball up I dont give a **** how many he scores as long as he gives us a release from defending and helps the team score.
Get him in, a young eager proper centre forward... He's dropping down a league and has something to prove, this will give him fire in his belly which is exactly what we need...
I would very much like us to go for him, IF there is a buy clause in our favour if he proves a success. Imo Wickham isn't a #10 but a classic #9.
I feel he was overrated as a teenager and has not been able to step up a level. The championship is probably his correct level
Alright fellas good luck with your promotion push this season. Connor has lost a lot of weight and will be one of your fittest players if you sign him. Before please log in to view this image After please log in to view this image As you can see his body fat is almost non existent. He's lean and sharp. Picture was taken on our pre season camp where Paolo has pushed them really hard. He needs games and should be sound once he's getting regular time on the pitch. Wouldn't make sense to sell him to you as his value is at an all time low and he's got plenty of contract to run so a loan would make sense from Sunderlands point of view.
He's got to be worth a go hasnt he. Offer him a chance to resurect his career on a decent contract under Maclaren. If the worst comes to the worst...He's only 20 so we can then sell him on. Fit Flyers profile from what i can see. Young, energetic, cheap, with potential and hunger and a sell on value...? Whats to lose? Big YES from me.
It's becoming just like the x-factor on here. 999's, sorry to have to tell you but you are starting to sound just like Louis Walsh.
He deserves a playing contract finglasqpr, he sounds like a cat being ironed when he sings, but it's a 150% big yes from me!
We could always follow the Ebbsfleet United model - all stump up the cash to buy shares in the club and then have a voting say on transfers?
