"Philip Buckingham ‏@PJBuckingham 8m Bad to worse for Cameron Stewart. Fears he has done serious damage to the same knee that kept him out for 8 months. Know more Monday" Unlucky for him, can't see where he'd go from here if he misses another season.
If that is the case then really unlucky for him, has there been an underlying worry, and why he has not performed since his first injury?
Actually Brady F,has that right. Stewart looked very good,on his return,at Ferriby. Then he played well, away at Derby, and was looking the part in our next two home games(i can't remember who),then...
Regardless of what has happened with Stewart recently, he was an exciting player when he first joined us and I really hope the lad is okay.
For the couple of months between Stewart coming back from injury until about the mid January he was on fire, and everyone on here laughed at Nige for only offering us £1.5 million for him. It's a shame what's happened to him since, and I hope he can regain his form somewhere, it's just unfortunate it won't be here. Edit: Just found this, quite clearly Stewart was highly rated, at least on here http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/114488-New-bid-for-stewart
Indeed and I don't hold it against him for turning ****. Naturally, really big shame for him and hopefully the injury won't be as bad as feared. Selfishly, a shame for us too, as we'll be lumbered with his wages until expiry.
He shone against Derby & Leicester. Then every other game became a downward slope (formwise). I hope he manages to recover, would be awful to have a Career-halting injury so early.
However bad he played after he came back from serious injury I just feel particularly sorry for the kid. Hes fought back but not produced the goods and now it sounds as though he is back to square one again. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
That thread was hilarious to read again, especially the arrogant comments by 'I used to be john fallen'. Funny how him and AKCJ were the loudest exponents of the "look at the size of our wad!!" bragging posts, but the first to disappear up their own arses when the wheels fell off.
No joy in this news. He is a player who, if fit, will find his level and, hopefully, earn a coin and enjoy his football whilst he has it. I've never liked his playing style, but I wish the lad well.
Out of curiosity, what didn't you like about his play style? On his day, I thought he was a very exciting player to watch.
Interesting to read that, how things have changed. I believe his injury certainly did create a bit of a mental stumbling block for him, he seemed more reluctant afterwards. But, does that explain why when he went to Burnley that he appeared to just stew and get fat? The injury ****ed him, but he doesn't seem massively dedicated either. This fresh injury is the last thing he needs. And us, really. It was very much time for Cameron to go. Bad all round.
