I doubt it is that high, but at the same time if a deal is done it will be for big money. I'd say £50-60mil would be sensible, but who knows, they might get 60-70 for him! Doubt anything above that though. He had a good season but he isnt THAT good.
The amount Real have offered for Bale is truly insane. But the problem for Spurs is that if they do accept the offer, are they attractive enough to buy any world class players and who is available? Without CL and also their wage structure, just buying three or four top players is not going to be easy for them. So rejecting that offer might not be as mad as it sounds.
I think Utd will give up there chase of Fabregas at least for now. All the noise from the Barca camp is that he is staying and with there current squad they need the depth in midfield. Maybe by next summer things will havechangedbut i think he is staying put for now. Hopefully we go in for him next summer As for bale - if Madrid have actually offered £80mil+ then Spurs would be stupid not to accept it. It's far more than he is worth and despite them not having the pull to attract the top players, it would give them the funds to grab the best of the rest which is what they need to form a squad capable of trying to push for the top 4.
Also hope Madrid do not offer Di Maria to Spurs. That guy is a quality player, so him plus a huge fee would be an amazing offer,
Very underrated. Huge asset defensively as well, would help out Walker who is laughably bad at defending
It's bull. Won't happen. He won't join. Doubt Madrid will offer him as well. Hype gone mad. Bale is a top player. But then again so is Di Maria. They are both on the same level. But for some reason those mugs (Madrid) want to pay £80 mill for the Welshman. Speechless. He's not worth half that.
Hard to be too confident for next season, Spurs are about to bring in a second decent player and there's no sign of us doing anything
The same level? Last season Bale scored more goals than Di Maria has in 3 seasons for Madrid. I like Di Maria but he's never shown anything like the ability Bale showed last season.
Di Maria is a quality player, but I do wonder if he'd want to join the spuds. Surely a player of his calibre would want to be playing CL football. You can't really imagine him being happy at being used as a makeweight and taking a step down in the process.
That's the big question isn't it. It's easy to offer these players but will they come to Spurs? Great rumoured deal, but that's what it is, rumours....
I used to think Di Maria was a great player but whenever I saw him last season he seemed to lose the ball every time it came to hm
