That would be the most exciting driver partnership since Prost/Senna so I can pretty much guarantee it won't happen. <laugh>

Probably a German favour to the Italians with regards to all the hype last year with Vettel to Ferrari by all the Italian media and all the pressure for a long term commitment it brought etc. You probably found out Horner sent a text to both Bild and Alonso's manager to meet at the Energy centre and meet up for a drink, then Bild did the rest :)

Next we will hear insides sources: "Vettel vetoed out Max Chilton but not Hamilton or Alonso as he reckons they wouldn't be a threat. These are good sources by the way #TRUSTME:)"

Absolutely zero chance of this happening. Assuming all parties want this to happen (which is a pretty big assumption since I doubt none of Alonso, Red Bull, Vettel or Ferrari would be keen on it), Alonso has a contract with Ferrari which would cost about €90m to break, and would end up costing Red Bull about €120m in their first year, almost a third of their budget. It's a complete non-starter.

Shame though. Imagine if it were to happen, what would Ferrari do?

From what I understand, Alonso's manager is also the manager of Carlos Sainz Jr, and that the talks were actually about him, not Alonso.

#F1 Rumors about Alonso move to Red Bull. Manager Garcia was seen with Horner. But talks only about his other client Carlos Sainz Jr.

Oddly I was just thinking about this about 10 mins ago. Ferrari is not good enough for Alonso anymore.

Yeah. This story is 99% bullshit, but you couldn't blame Alonso. I saw yesterday that Ferrari haven't had a dry pole since Singapore 2010.

Starting to look like late 80's-early 90's Ferrari again.

Horner's comment about "getting a clearer picture but then new options start to pop up" is intriguing. It's not a two-horse race then. Alonso's not really denying it, perhaps he's trying to unsettle Seb? But then why would Horner not deny it? Perhaps he's trying to unsettle Fernando.

At least we know who Vettel wants in his team.

Again though, where do Ferrari go if Alonso leaves?

Do they now keep Massa for his experience, or do they go for Hulk and Bianchi?

Santander would help break that contract clause and pay it off. IMO Alonso is selling Ferrari down the river and hopes Vettel will bite the bait and swap with him.

"Here you go Seb, have that Ferrari drive you always wanted, but it will cost your seat to go there."
