Top writer David Hytner says Bale is now too big for Spurs and must leave now.

He says: 'Gareth Bale's ability and ambition mean he has outgrown Tottenham'

Do you agree? How many players of his ability have played just one season of top-level football by the age of 25. He is at his peak now too. And with wales unlikely to play any international tournaments too, CL football is even more important to him

Now is the time to cash in so we get a slice of the pie.
The reported offer is too good to turn away. It's a big deposit on a new stadium

Another home ground? These Spuds are like a bunch of wandering nomads. How many would that be now, 4?

They weren't even a London club until the 60s when they created Haringey and zone 116. They used to be a Middlesex team

To be fair, it's not that difficult to be bigger than Spurs. But Bale clearly is a big fish in a small pond and the Spuds would be mad not to turn down a stupid money offer for him. As I said on their board ages ago, the Spiv Levy might see a massive cash influx from his sale to invest in a new stadium, the spuds didn't want to hear that, but the reality might be starting to creep up on them now. If they want to move from the ****ehole that is WHL, then they are going to have to finance it.

I can understand that the spud fans are desperate to keep him, after all they looked **** without him last season. Bale single handedly winning them 22pts, which otherwise would have seen them finish below Liverpool, who they love to mock. They have clung on to the hope that Bale is a 'homely lad' with a baby daughter and would want to stay in the UK, but Bale is ambitious and has said before that he would relish a move abroad

Their other hope is that the spiv Levy will hold Bale hostage like he did with Modric and force him to stay at the Spuds, but we all know how that one turned out. The same with Berbatov and Carrick, they all eventually outgrow the Spuds. As I've said, they'd be flippin' mental to turn down a massive offer for Bale, especially as he has indicated that he wants to go. Also for Arsenal this might help us, as Real won't be putting in a bid for Suarez and the Spuds although they will have **** loads of cash and need a striker, won't be able to attract a forward who has indicated he wants CL football <ok>

  7. Cashley Cole, Kolo Troure, Naz, Fab... the list goes on and on.

What have we said to you before about throwing stones in a glass house, PESKIE?

God! This is like bringing a machine-gun to a turkey-shoot!

So you agree that some players leave their clubs when a better offer comes along. This is what I was just explaining. Try and keep up Sandy <ok>

  9. The point I was so obviously making, although it appears to have escaped you, is that all players eventually outgrow the Gunners.

'All players eventually outgrow the Gunners' Surely I don't even need to tell you that you aren't going to be able to back that one up. I'll just put it down to another comment that has come back to haunt you <ok>

Now, shouldn't you be out playing dress up Tea's maids with your little girly chums ?

I put the 2nd option but he should leave if/when he wants to really. So far he's said he's happy at Spurs. Not read through comments yet but I can imagine tots will have posted <laugh>

I really wouldn't want to keep a player who wanted away! I always remember George Graham who was a great player for us , suddenly decide for unknown reasons he wanted to leave and he just simply stopped playing when he was picked! If they wont die on the hill then let them go!

You do realise that they only finished 3 points off you, and now they have a better squad then Chelsea's and a better future.

You aren't comparing like-for-like. Cole and Toure had both won a League title (amongst other things) at Arsenal, they still left behind players at least as good as them.

The first thing you think of when you think of Arsenal is Wenger, first thing you think of when you think of Spurs is Bale. He is the most valuable and important asset at Spurs.

And Fabregas/Nasri left behind RVP, who right now, is considered a better player than them.
