I only directed my comments to those who have been claiming Liverpool are this not what they used to be.

They are sad, sad people. I've been stunned by the delusion and idiocy of these fans in the past month or so. Never did I know their sickness was this bad. Can't wait for the season to start. Oh the barrel of laughs we're gonna have as soon as they start losing to the likes of Norwich and co regularly. No wonder Suarez is desperate to run away.

 

I've always rather liked Liverpool fans. Not anymore I don't. The vast majority can do nothing more than talk about stuff that happened in 1806.

 

There's lots of fear & loathing on both sides at the moment. I'm sure it will all calm down before long and we can all be mates again

How to take a football club up the ****ter.

 

@sisu - go back and read the thread and ive detailed why we are the bigger club than Liverpool at present and in the recent past. You have to go back 20 years to a point where you are more successful than us. In Wengers 16 years at the club we have been the far better club, better league finishes, more trophies and just in general better.

Since we last won a trophy (since this seems to be the only way pool fans can try and belittle arsenal) - we have been in 3 cup finals, several semi finals, almost won the league and moved into the best stadium in the country and one of the best in the world. Whilst doing this we have maintained top 4 in the league, thus CL football (holding records for consecutive competitions appearances and consecutive times out of the group stages) which no other team has managed, grown massively as a Club (value, turnover, fanbase etc...) and put ourselves in the position where we can now compete with the mega-rich clubs - starting by taking Liverpools best player - reiterating the fact that we are the bigger club.

 

Let's hope so.
