Shouldn't the football side be excluded from discussions on finances? It would be the commercial side that was bankrupt wouldn't it? How would calling the commercial side something else make it more profitable and less liable to go bankrupt?
Not withstanding the many examples posted of the use of Hull Tigers, Thompson said such a name didn't exist as the commercial arm is Hull City Tigers.
I've no idea how, why or where it would fit, but I do wonder if there's a degree of honour/vengeance in some of the greater picture.
His carwash business isn't exactly a benchmark in business folklore The guys knows all. Clearly could teach the Allams a lesson or two on how to run a business I love people who think they know everything, makes it incredibly satisfying when it is proven they don't.
C'mon Tyger - The whole Club, both football and non-football 'sides', was losing money. The Allams invested and the Club was saved. So what's your point? Do we end up with Hull Tigers (or Hull City Tigers) t/a Hull City AFC?
The Allam's are obviously very successful. That success has come from making diesel generators, by their own admission, they know **** all about football. I'm quite successful, I'm good at what I do, but put me in charge of a diesel generator factory and I probably wouldn't last a year. As for why they're doing this, it's because they can, there is no business case that has been made by anybody to try and justify it.
Actually there are approx. 2.1 Billion Christians in the world as opposed to 1.57 Billion Muslims. The number of Christians is growing at a faster rate (due mostly I understand to the Chinese).
So you think that because the Allams put money into Hull City when it was insolvent then they will top up the difference in income that will occur from changing from a consistent brand for 109 years to a new split into two brands. I don't have your "faith". "Faith" is all you seem to have. I prefer logic. No offence intended. Right now I don't get to as many games as I would like but I used to be a season ticket holder even though I lived in London. I wouldn't be too sure about your assumptions because plenty of people have a more difficult journey than me to get to the KC and go to practically every game home and away. Why do you think that the changes are likely to affect the attendance of current fans. I have repeatedly said that the "rebranding" will harm the conversion of potential fans. Do you understand that point now. The Allam's know whether Nick Thompson is a liar. Who called Nick Thompson a liar?
I never mentioned numbers, I said more devout. You seem to have missed my question, you have no experience if running a business do you?
I think it's more to do with Papa Allam's pet name than any real commercial logic. I'd prefer it if he called his pet cat "Tiger" and left it at that.
