Yet again Patty, reversing it will cost lots more £'s so that would be unlikely and will only cause even more confusion. You re-brand a company if it's failing, if it needs to adapt to a changing market place, not if you've just been successful in getting promoted to probably the most prominent football league in the world - that fact alone will provide us with extra marketing and income revenue, NOT changing the name. It's total and utter BULLSHIT!! That's the problem with British business in general, it's full of "jobs for the boys", paying bullshit amounts of money to people to **** around with bullshit ideas.

This is why the problem is so divisive - they have created a new name and they have very clearly stated that it is purely for the commercial element of the business (the heavens know why we need that), but it is constantly quoted and displayed in circumstances that are very clearly football team related - the hold out a dishonest explanation that insults the club's customers; we should be able to expect so much better. We should be able to expect that our club is not being run by incompetents and that they know what they are doing in implementing their new brand strategy and personally I do believe they are in absolute control and are very professional, which also indicates, to me, that the name change will eventually be a complete and singular re-branding to Hull City Tigers. I won't like it, but I'll live with it, although the dishonesty of the executive will never be forgotten of forgiven.

You seem to be arguing against yourself. Are you saying that these same fans wouldn't come back now we have returned to the Premier League and wouldn't disappear again if we get relegated?

"Huge" is relative. I'd rather not spend the money but I think the loss of revenue from rebranding will be a lot more than the implementation costs.

I think Papa Allam got Nick Thompson on board for his "branding" skills but then told him what the rebrand was going to be - Hull Tigers - and simply wanted him to implement it.

Nick was faced with looking for a new job and losing his inflated salary or getting on with it.

NO it was a reply to 2 different comments, take them out of context and it doesn't sound right.
I am sure that I could find 2 of your comments and take them out of context.
I am not going to bother trying to explain why they are different.

true, it will cost mega money, but I hope that it will come out of AA's pocket and not affect the teams books.

I am aware they were replies to two different comments. But I would hazard that they are still contradictory. How would these 'new' fans differ from the (TWS) fans who you claim as having become fans last promotion?

As explained to several times, it doesn't and never has. What does happen, is posts that are liable to cause a thread to split into two distinct topics (as your post and this reply could) are, on occasions moved so that each can be discussed fully, thus benefiting board users. If posts were edited or deleted, you could have the germ of a point, as they aren't...move on.

Jesus seems to have achieved a reasonable number of followers using that system, so why not?

People are debating business practice with Patty? <laugh>

Get the **** out of here, he can barely spell his own name.

For the benefit of TygerTyger, that was a personal insult. <ok>

I think this is true. The Allams have something up their sleeve. God knows what, but if the result of rebranding us makes us an attractive proposition to an American/Arab businessman that pushes us into the megabucks league are we all going to say no?

I have a feeling the Allams and this new business partner are going to build a stadium at Melton and develop a massive retail park, doubly ****ing Hull as a town and the council.

Allah's followers are far more devout, maybe we should become Hull Islamics?

Actually, commercially that would increase our appeal internationally, presumably the 'I don't cares' would be happy to go with it, if it earned us a few more bob and our owners fancied it?

But you rather miss one salient point. The football side wasn't making enough money. It was bankrupt. So much so it needed an injection of £50m from the very people you are claiming are going to reduce income.

Frankly I have more faith in their financial acuity than in yours. No offence intended.

In any event, given your location, I suspect you don't get to as many games as you would like, therefore loss of your financial input as a patron is likely to cause limited hardship to the playing side. Calling Nick Thompson a liar, however, may reduce the Allam's inclination to invest more money. Don't you think?
