    An interesting shout. Not sure how he has been fitting onto Di Canio's set-up and thoughts. Clearly talented youngster who can score goals. Would need to be a season loan, with option to buy, if we were to get value for the deal.

    Fair point. Still only 20. Went on loan to Shef Wed. and scored in the month he was there. Worth a gamble on the right deal? Possibly in my view.

    I think he has great potential - some are writing him off already just because he's been unable to establish himself fully in a PL team, but he's only 20 for goodness sake. Worth a season loan deal.

    Confidence is everything with a young player, especially a goal scorer (even Torres, Carroll etc.) - under McLaren's supportive coaching, perhaps he can return to those Doncaster hat-trick days in the Championship, just a couple of years ago - at 17 he moved too soon to the Premier League.

    Can't be worse than other forwards we gave a punt - Hulse, Bothroyd, DJ (injured again for 2 months I see).

    someone who scores more than 3-4 goals a season.

    Ive pretty much given up hope of looking at players hoping we will sign them as we will sign a crap midfielder instead.
