So somebody does something good and follows it by doing something illogical you should show "faith" rather than judgement?
When they want the second half to kick off will they be able to get up or will they just roll them off the pitch?
There is only 1 reason to rebrand and that is financial.. IF it saves us money or makes us money, I wont complain. I am only really bothered about performances ON the pitch. What the Allams decide to do OFF the pitch (as long as neither directly interfere with each other, is it really that important?), to me, they own the club and can do what the hell they like. "oh no they are renaming my club!" some of you whiny bastards need to get a life!
Doing what they have done and appear to be planning to do will cost the club a lot of money. Do you not see that is likely to affect the playing side? Did you enjoy the gratuitous insults? Do you say things like that to people face to face if you disagree with them?
After one or two disceet enquiries it seems they are quite good. Very much like the Hippo Balerenas in Disneys Fantasia.
1 question.... Will it stop you supporting them if they have a name change?? a lot on here were complaining that, when we were on 5live Xtra last season, we were called HullFC.. well the southern press aren't gonna get educated over night. That means that we only have 2 options, 1, we stop whinging about them calling us Hull FC, or 2 we change to a more distinctive name. I admit that changing our name is not the preferred option - thats like killing the patient to cure the cancer.
actually I do! I didnt name names. but if you feel that I am personally attacking you. see my signature
The fact that you've got Stephen Fry quote as a referential signature pretty much sums you up I'm afraid.
Talking and acting against something you object to isn't whining, and isn't wasted time nor a sign of an unfulfilled life, that's just a lazy position. Also, talking on here doesn't mean that nothing else is being done. As for not going, based on conversations I've had off the board, North Ferriby will benefit most from the name change. In itself the name change probably wouldn't stop me going, but it'd be one in number of factors I consider when replacing my pass, so it could amount to the final straw, but I see making the Chairman aware of the strength of opposition to the change and the way it's been handled will do no harm at all. Football doesn't operate like other businesses, plenty of good businessmen have found that to there cost.
The existence of Hull FC causes confusion to lazy or ignorant people. We've been Hull City for the last 109 years and the laziness and ignorance is still there. Hull City- the football team that represents the city of Hull. Crazy I know.....
What makes you think I care if you are personally attacking me? I just thought you are one of those people who likes to insult from the safety of their computer.
^ great post I can see where you are coming from, It may cause fans not to renew their season passes - but it wont affect the fans love for the club.
