We will be having our grand re-opening on Friday. It's open from midday, but we're kicking things off at around 7pm. There'll be a FREE hog roast, 2 local live bands (1034 and Mike Rogers and his band), some jacket potatoes and salad and some beer. Lots and lots of beer. Ales we have for opening night include Theakston's Best Bitter, Theakston's Lightfoot (oh yes...) and Timothy Taylor's Landlord. We also have a range of lagers, both continental and...well whatever Carling is. It's a late one, running until 2am, so if you fancy a nice pint in a pub that isn't the Bear Inn, you know where to find us. In fact I believe they're having kareoke that night. (Just so you know, the Triton Inn in Brantingham is opening on the same night after it's 'fire accident'. Of course, you could go there. But why the **** would you honestly want to do that? It's a restaurant for Christ's sake).
No, I'm one of the people helping him out. The landlord is my friend of 22 years. The bloke that's financing it has no experience in pubs (well, on the other side of the bar), so he's assembled a crack team to help him out. It's going to be a busy opening night, can't wait.
Because that isn't the website. But it is laughably **** We haven't got one up and running yet; probably won't until the hotel starts up.
I've had some amazing nights in the fox when they used to put Avenue on. You can't beat live music in pubs. And they were brilliant!
Mike Rogers is an excellent musician. Tends to play a lot of blues stuff you've never heard of though. Are you throwing in free taxi's back to Hull, I'd say a bus but i wont go on em
I suspect 'piss poor' is the best review they've ever had. It was ****ing appalling. I'm not sure if the landlord got put away for faking a fire, or if he got banged up for attempting to poison the entire population of Brantingham.
Actually, yes, South Cave has its own air strip. I'll have a word about taxis, that's a good idea. I'll keep you posted.
Ok, no taxis, but they're offering free hotel rooms to those who can't get back. Better ring them up to book and avoid disappointment
How is S. Cave GC these days I haven't played it since I left the area 15 years ago, but I wasn't very impress then?
Me and Mrs OLM are planning on popping in on Friday, have you got a Tommy Tiger tee-shirt you can wear so we know it's you?
It was offal. Probably both. I'd edit it Party and deny any knowledge of know anyone connected with said pub!
