http://m.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jul/27/radamel-falcao-monaco-leicester-city You'll never beat Wes Morgan
That Journo put this on twitter; Sachin Nakrani ‏@SachinNakrani 6h Monaco in town yet very small crowd at King Power. Entire East Stand is empty. "Falcao? Yeah, whatever. I've seen Heskey play dont you know" I'd have thought someone with even one brain cell could work out it was closed.
Read it Falcao failed to impress For a 55M striker he was crap. He is massively over rated Too many people live off players Fifa and football manager reputations.
And there you have it. As I said Wes Morgan would hold his own against Falcao which he did. Scooter boy is just getting more sad and desperate by the day.
I live off real life reputations. Like his goal record and the fact he was voted in the striker spot for the team of the year.
He failed to impress? He scored whilst looking like he really couldn't have cared less about being there. You really think one of the best players in the world who's proved himself against some of the best teams in the world has to prove himself against Leicester in a pre-season? You are actually verging on special needs Proud, I'm not even joking.
In **** leagues. Other then Real Madrid and Barcelona La Liga is pretty poor Only the Premiership, Bundesliga and to a certain extent Serie A offer a decent amount of quality teams. How many strikers over the years have scored loads in Spain and failed miserably over here. Quite a few and there is a reason for that. Its been a crazy summer with Monaco and PSG pissing money up the wall but dont always think a big price tag means a quality player. Even if he was a success at his former club Real paid over 50M for Kaka. He never lived up to the hype Chelsea paid 50M for Fernando Torres. He never even looked like continuing his Liverpool form. Forget how highly rated Morgan is here. He is a 2nd divison defender who this 55M striker couldnt get the better of. He scored a tap in but apart from forcing a good save from Kasper. He was **** from start to finish Dont always believe the hype
http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs...s-given-torrid-time-wes-morgan-214801893.html Quite a few of you have got some egg on your face
I haven't said that his price tag is the reason why he's so good. Are we suggesting that Messi and Ronaldo aren't good because La Liga isn't that good of a league (despite it clearly being quality)? I've seen him play plenty of times and there hasn't been a game where he hasn't stood out. He certainly wasn't '****' today. His movement, positioning, hold up play and spatial awareness was a joy to behold. He's a special player who will do special things, where ever he plays and however much he costs.
Because of two 'articles' by no-mark journalists? Falcao played us off the park today. It was scary how easy he made everything look.
AKCJ ask anyone who went to the game. Falcao was quite ****, so me, everyone who went and all the media reports are wrong because it doesnt suit the hype you have built for him You listen too much to the commentators pulling out stats and bigging him up and you start to believe the hype. Had Falcao of done what Matty James did where he got around the keeper and back heeled it past him we would have all heard about it a thousand times. In future dont be gullible listening to commentators stats and youtube clips
I thought his movement was good today but I don't think it was a world class performance by any stretch of the imagination. I'm no expert on European football (I find it very, very dull to watch, all though technically it pisses all over British football) so I have no idea how good he can be but he didn't look like a £55m player today. Wes handled him for the most part. In fairness though, it was very much a warm-up match. Everyone on the pitch can play better than they did today.
Hit the nail on the head there His bit of movement to lose St. Ledger was class but Kasper made a fine save Overall he just didnt look nothing special He might be as good as you make out but today he simply wasnt
In future, don't call me gullible for watching plenty of European football and building up an opinion of a clearly ****ing brilliant footballer. I had the benefit of television replays so I could rewatch the countless times he rolled off the shoulder of Morgan and found plenty of space in which he was able to penetrate our easily exposed defence. He did this time and time again. Just because a few people around you said he was **** doesn't mean he is and funnily enough, all of the media reports i've read/heard since the game have said how well he played. How many articles did you go through to find two that matched your clearly blurred opinion? I've built up my own hype of him after seeing him annihilate defenders much better than our own. How many times have you seen him play?
I seen Falcao fail with my own eyes today. Im yet to hear from anyone who went or see a news report saying Falcao was impressive Im not doubting how good he is or how good he can be. Just today he didnt look anything like justifying his price tag or reputation Wes will have tougher afternoons against championship strikers then today. The media like to hightlight the little things he does right. Showing replays and being in awe of him, but when he doesnt do well and loses out they ignore it Who remembers Nile Ranger's debut against us. Everyone thought he was **** but Sky couldnt get enough of him. The power of the media
I just had a quick look through twitter The general feeling is Wes dealt with Falcao pretty well And that was the point I made from that start that you all ripped into me for. My opinion has been justified and quite a few of you need a slice of humble pie So who has the balls to admit I was right
