whinging? no... if people are happy with a diet of under performance and second rate stuff, well, Im pleased for them..that's not acceptable to me...Im not happy with losing 3 zip at home to anybody ..even in a friendly.. there are plenty of people who would defend pearson even if we went down...Im not one of those
to blindly support is wrong i agree, yet you are the other end of the scale and never happy. tell me what you suggest. Sack Pearson and get who in? We lost to a top side in a meaningless game where we used 10 subs, we learnt nothing. If we had of won we wouldn't be saying we are bound to do well, its just a friendly.
My life must be full of wooly minded nonsense, for I have will always have blind faith that Leicester are/will be magic. It was a pre season game in which it appears we virtually put on 2 11's to give the squad more match fitness. While disappointed with the result in a funny way I would rather it was this way round than say a 3-0 win because then expectations would be we would win every game and that is never going to happen.
I can understand concern about the fact that you fell short last season and haven't strengthened for next season. But pre-seasons mean absolutely bugger all. Particularly exhibition games.
No you're wrong. I've seen enough now this season to know Pearson isn't up to it. We need to get rid now while we have plenty of time to bring in a new man and loads of players before then season starts next Saturday. We should be playing sides like Monaco off the park, even with FFP.
Again Scoots you know very little about us Zoumana Bakoyogo, Sean St. Ledger and Neil Danns have been added to the squad. We have retained all the players we wanted to including Kasper like I said. Our young squad is a year stronger then last year and Harry Kane has ****ed off Other then Michael Keane who may yet still return. Explain on how we havent strengthened? Signing 10 players doesnt always make you stronger
He's obviously referring to a lack of new signings, but I don't get this mentality from fans. Signings new players is not always the answer. It's this way of thinking that makes football agents wealthy. Providing you have a good, young squad (which we do), then keeping what you have and establishing continuity is as good as anything. Don't get me wrong, I thought we'd have signed one or two more than we have (I thought we'd get rid of a lot more too), but it's not significant enough to worry about, that's for sure. Hull, on the other hand, will need pretty much a whole new squad from last season to stand any chance in the Prem.
When people moan at lack of signings it proves that dont understand football and the situation we find ourselves in Sven signed about 15 players. We had a **** season Nigel has already got us a very good squad. We dont need 10 new players. In an ideal world we would have had a few more but he would have damaged our squad by going on a trolley dash Regardless of what people say Nigel knows what he is doing and he knows best rather then all us guessing and using our football manager experience
never happy? with second rate failure no..are you? I want the very best for LCFC, but unlike others on here, for me pearson is not the answer..never has been..Ive been consistent on that...its not down to me to ask for anybodies head, never have done, never will do.. the people who have invested 100 mill have that responsibility
Can't argue with anything here ... but being one of the older posters I've not only seen the O'Neil years but also , Wallace, Milne and especially Jimmy Bloomfield ... Pearson has a hell of a lot to prove to ever climb into our folklore alongside those deities .... at least in the eyes of those that were lucky enough to have seen their teams perform ...
Hold on a minute People ripped NP for having no plan B He tries 532 to have an extra trick up his sleeve and he gets ripped for that. He is damned if he does and damned if he dont
My feelings on Nigel Pearson have absolutely nothing to do with today's exhibition game which, if I'm hones,t turned out pretty much as I suspected it would, but actually gave me more optimism for the coming season that I had up to this point (based on some of our team's performances against a very very good outfit)... my worries about Pearson are almost wholly around the fact that when it comes to the crunch games he gets tactically outwitted (to date) and the fact that he couldn't 'manage' us out of that dreadful run of form last season - either because he just wasn't capable or was too damned stubborn to recall the likes of Danns and Beckford who I do believe could have made a difference - but that's history - I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and the first 10 games of this season in the league - something that I also believe I share with our owners - only time will tell.
Couldn't disagree more with that bit. Two overrated, overpaid players no better than those that actually played in their respective positions.
Beckford was a complete waste of a shirt. Danns in the right mood would have given us something but when he isnt he is a liability at times with his lack of discipline. Do you really think over the course of last season he would have got in ahead of King, James and Drinkwater. He would have just got rotated or pushed out wide
That's true of both of them I think. But considering how much we paid for them and the wages they were on (which in turn implies how much they were rated by Sven), I challenge anyone to say they weren't/aren't overrated and overpaid.
...which you are entitled to do of course ... but Beckford does score goals and Danns has far more steel than any other midfield player at the club ... and yes I think that they could have come in and played better than Nugent and Drinkwater were playing at the time (both of whom did get dropped)
