It was a fantastic result against a skilled but physical Granada side. If we are capable against that level of opposition, there is no reason we wont be challenging for the title this season. Angelle looks incredible! And I dont just mean his hair, he is also really genuinely kind. He heard me but didnt see me when I asked for an autograph before the match so when he saw me afterwards he apologised and shook my hand. I cannot wait to see more of Faraoni and Fabrini, both are typically Italian with quick feet, silky skills and love to run. Acuña is quite rightly named the Pitbull, he will be a handfull for the best of defences. However, im still not sure about Reece Brown, he seems to get panicked sometimes and misplaces passes, but I will reserve judgement for now.
For the most part I agree with BHD. Only I think more of young Reece Brown than you did (I'll leave it at that BHD). Granada did not like out body strength, particularly Deeney... that little episode at the end of the first half was quite satisfying, taking on one, two, three, four, maybe a fifth tackle* before the referee finally decided he had been kicked once too often. Terrific goal from Fabrinni (the Bianconero do not rate him from what I've seen) but he didn't end up at Udinese to start with by being a mug. Bond looked good but Angella was a colossus at the back, just superb. It's all looking rather good to me!
Very comfortable. More trouble for the fans getting into the ground than players had on the pitch. 2 excellent goals. A number of impressive solid performances and actually it got quite physical at times. Of the new guys Iriney, Angella and Fabbrini particularly did well Roll on next week.
Things are looking allright like, then. Like the sound of the new lads that have come in. This report also sheds some light on it all, http://bhappy.wordpress.com/2013/07/27/watford-2-granada-0-27072013/
Really good writer is Matt. With one article I could almost believe that I should sit up and take notice.
What sort do side is expected in the Boreham Wood game? I am assuming those picked will not be playing on Saturday.
get this. I saw friends last night..Watford fans that don't go much...and they'd met a West Ham fan earlier in the day who had been at the match. Apparently, the WHU fan said that Watford were terrible, and they only won because Granada were woeful! I had to laugh...jealous? Hmm, sounds it to me!
It was a friendly - neither team were at full pelt but we were the better side and certainly looked very comfortable on the ball and created chances.
Geijo is in the bench at BW.. Basically is the kids/younger 1st teamers plus Ekstrand Rocket Ronnie's son is playing! #watfordfc v Boreham Wood: Bond (GK); Brown, Ekstrand (c), Johnson; Rosenthal, Battocchio, Murray, Smith, Kyprianou; Ikpeazu, Mensah.
