Anybody know what a Leicester goal looks like? Im happy, saved my hard earned money today... and the countdown begins.. a maximum of 12 games left...,
I didn't bother going and after watching (or sleeping) through that i'm rather happy I didn't. The side don't look fit enough and defensively we were all over the place. Only Wes, James and Kasper looked half decent. The 5-3-2 / 3-5-2 has potential, but we needed someone to play behind the strikers. King didn't do that.
Nowt to do with the manager though...he is "very pleased with the players fitness,a week ahead of last season"...
In fairness they were quality in possession Moutinho was excellent ... and Wood's first touch wasn't really good enough to allow the midfield to get up in support - pleasantly surprised by Whitbread - found a blue shirt every time and looked solid enough ...
Sorry mate usually agree with your posts....he was s h i t e ... resorted to hoof ball against a good outfit, to see gally at full back proves to me that this bloke has not got a clue.... Monaco were in third gear... the french as always are polite guests, didn't want to offend their hosts... think we have seen the end of three at the back...
I think Leicester will find it tough this season and it may be the managers last,I don't think Leicester are one of the favourites this season, only my opinion.
We weren't great, but this is a top quality Monaco team, and there are certainly some positives to take from the game. I liked the 5-3-2, especially James and King in midfield, though Drinkwater looked very poor IMO and I'd probably select Marshall or even Danns as the 3rd man, who at least put himself about. King always looks strong in a larger midfield. I thought Whitbread looked quite good, would liked him to have stayed on with Morgan in the second half, Moore also looked ok, but St. Ledger was rusty. De Laet's pace down the wings could cause people some problems but I'd like to see another 'wing-back' to challenge him, don't fancy Gallagher there myself. None of our strikers really showed anything in this game, but we know that they can perform, and I liked Marshall's supporting striker role. Knockaert was virtually invisible. More recruitments needed this week methinks, I'm hoping for Keane back on loan. Bakayogo looked strong and fast but not on long enough to make much of an impression.
"we weren't great".... fookin understatement of the season so far.. the rest...what I call positive spin... vardy caused the second goal..was clean through on THEIR goal..failed to control the ball, and they counter attacked and scored... we conceded two goals with three at the back.. only one in the second half, with gally at full back...hope you enjoyed whitbreads hoofs.. he will be out injured soon....marshall has completely lost his mojo..we couldn't score in a hull brothel...
No probs Fallen ... personally didn't see whitbread hoof it ... in fact don't recall him not finding a blue shirt with every pass ... I haven't commented on Nigel Pearson's management above? ... you know my thoughts on that ... I'm firmly in the 'still to be convinced" camp...
Please give it a rest, surprised no one has said anything, must be used to the broken record being stuck on 'moan' constantly. One of their players cost 50 million mate get real. Friendlies mean **** all hence why gally was at full back it's fitness training it's. a formality before the real stuff. If after ten games we are near the bottom have a moan but not after losing a friendly to pne of the richest clubs in Europe. And before you say I'm deluded and all your other bollocks I'm not I'm realistic and hate whit bread just think your moaning, however funny sometimes, is taking the piss now. You are waiting for anything to moan about.
Zak Whitbread played very well. Matty James was unlucky not to have scored with his early effort and his backheel that was cleared off the line Vardy got in some useful positions and worked hard but his first touch let him down, Ritchie De Laet played well making some decent runs just the final ball lacked the quality St. Ledger and Drinkwater stuggled to get to speed with the game Of the 2nd half Neil Danns, Ben Marshall, Liam Moore and Jeff Schlupp was pretty decent
We've still got another pre-season match haven't we? Northampton, or am I imagining this? I don't think we're ready for the new season yet but pre-season is a funny one, you just can't judge how you'll look once the season starts. I remember us looking relatively good in pre-season when we had Sousa, and then Sven, and look how that turned out.
Go and support Forest then season has not started and your moaning like a woman already (as usual) jeez
Grow up son, I expect better from you than a mardy whinge..."go and support forest then" you sound like my 4 yearold nephew.. you clearly have a problem with me..fair enough, but you must try harder... thats pathetic...,
Theres nothing wrong with IUTBJF being pessimistic. If we all agreed on everything it would be pointless coming on here We didnt show much today but you need to take into account we wont be playing anyone like Monaco again anytime soon
Knowing we are all going to die.. and the world is going end one day, is not pessimistic, is a rational view of reality... to have blind faith with no concrete evidence and plough on regardless is wooly minded nonsense..., I never play follow my leader, just to look loyal..some saddo's do..I pity them..
