Anyone know why both teams have decided to keep today's QPR friendly completely private? Although goals and goal scorers will be announced later.
So all the gossip freaks on this type of site don't leak anything within seconds of it happening, I suppose!!
The only reason I can think of we have several trialists playing and don't want the names to get out.
Gary O'Neill and Jamie O'Hara "None shall pass" said King Harold as we drew 0-0 against the shire of the Wednesday
Exactly what we need, I mean we could be in trouble if the other 10 CMs get injured. Good job our three forwards don't have any questions at all about their availability or injury records.
I seem to remember there were a number of behind closed door friendlies last season, guess it must be fairly common.
Probably arranged at very short notice and insufficient time to organise various elements (stewarding, police, catering etc) that would be required Not too fussed myself about pre-season matches - have been to too many that are just slow paced training games with players more worried about avoiding injury
The #QPR XI lined up: Murphy Harriman Ehmer Ferdinand Young Barton Derry Faurlin Park Ephraim Hitchcock A #QPR XI drew 1-1 against Leyton Orient this afternoon in a behind-closed-doors friendly. @hitchuuu with the R's goal
I do not see the sense in closed door friendlies. If someone wants to take photos etc, they will find a way of doing it but let's be realistic. We are QPR playing in the Championship ..................... not Real Madrid in the Champions League. Why the secrecy?
Yes, we requested that the club play it behind closed doors as we couldn't put up with another match!
