What was the first away ground you ever went to?

that was my first proper away game, bar a pre-season friendly at the quakers. it was my last weekend before Heading for Uni and i get tonked in a transit with a load of mates, straight after a long friday night out in sunny Consett.

Made a bit of a nuisance of myself, but generally harmless fun. ah, to be young and carefree........

 

League cup game at Cambridge, I think we drew 3-3 1983.

 

What a load of ****. You were there were you? If the fullwell held 15k, there were 14k black and whites in for the entire game. Your fans were in one corner.

York City at Bootham Crescent about 1974 ish. Won 4-1...21,000 attendance with 17,000 from Sunderland!

 

I think half the team were pissed before every game the season we finished with 15 points! Redandwhite.
