Could he be our secret weapon for coming season....? He seems to be in right place at right time and made two classic goalscorers goals during the close season. He could do well in championship but he is so horribly injuryprone....
C'mon you bully boy be more positive, althought you are probably right. Still, those rare matches AJ have play for us he has played well.
If he can stay injury free, he will score goals in this league. If Remy stays, at least until January then we could be in a good position. All ifs I know but certainly possible
Holy crap Flyer lighten up for gods sake man, everyone is entitled to their opinions, but every single thread lately you are negative beyond belief lol. Take a leaf out of DT'S book and start to see the good in things and maybe you will be a little surprised and a whole lot more cheerful.......................... Remember "life is a box of choclates and you never know what you gonna get", and all i see in your box at the moment is suicide swirls and arsenic almond delights PMSL. Not having a dig as such, but think you need a good cheer up so suggest putting Monty Pythons "always look on the bright side of life" on and follow that up with Oasis's "dont look back in anger" and finish of with Judy Garlands "somewhere over the rainbow". It's a new season coming up go into it in a new frame of mind, forget last season, I have, It's gone and maybe things aint as gloomy as you think they are lol.
Before AJ got injured last season he looked like he was about to explode into English football again. He was looking good. I'd hate to see the same happen again but we can't always have such bad luck so I'm going to be positive and believe hell be around (almost) all season. A question for those who know more about the game than I do, what was his most prolific season ever and do you know any of the stats from that season and his age at the time?
1997â2002 Birmingham City 83 (8) (apps) (goals) 2002â2006 Crystal Palace 140 (74) 2006â2008 Everton 61 (17) 2008â2012 Fulham 86 (13 Lifted from Wikipedia. He was born in 1981. So most prolific at Palace. In this league. That's his level. If he stays fit, he's class, although a little older....
I do listen to Megadeth though. probably shouldnt put "in my darkest hour" on. Its hardly going out on a limb saying he wont last, hes just the same as Dyer. He tore knee ligaments running in a straight line last season. Last 3 seasons, 3 of those goals were against us so hes average a goal a season against our opposition. Games----Goals 8---- 0 27---- 3 14---- 3
He's a quality player when fit, that's the key. If he can maintain his fitness he'll be a big asset...
It's realistic rather than negative to believe he'll break down. Great player when fit but Redknapp should only be budgeting to get 20 or so games from him. Any more is a bonus. Similar for Zamora.
Add Remys situation and its probably we will have no forwards by xmas. Its not as if its going to be a freak situation either, its very likely to happen.
But can't you see that there is quite a lot of time to get some more deals done, not to mention deadline day?
I'd like to see his assist stats with bz. They are used to playing together and could rekindle a good partnership. You can look on the bright side or dark side, its sunny side up at moment.
Of course but look at where deadline day has got us in the past. SWP, Barton, Puncheon etc Its clear players dont want to come here because TF said we would get business done before pre season starts.
