Lovely place, Nurnburg. Spent a few days there years ago. A bit worried how it will go today, they are a mid table Bundesliga side and finished last season with wins against teams like Werder Bremen and Dusseldorf. I have a horrible feeling about our defence, which has not looked secure to me even against the lower level teams we have been playing, and I wonder if we will have any punch up front against a better quality defence. Lets hope the fact we usually play better against better opposition comes into play, but I am apprehensive our failings are going to be exposed today. Hope I am wrong. Has anyone got info on Nurnburg, seen them play etc? There have been a number of comments suggesting less than total dismay at the news that Our Saviour has finally departed. Perhaps one of you would like to state the case for why KB's memory should be rehabilitated, and why he was indeed the Saviour of Leeds United? I am sure he has some admirers amongst us. Will KB's going mean the way is clear for that Red Bull sponsorship to go ahead?
Morning 2020 and everyone else who joins Quite looking forward to today's game, even though I don't know what way it will go. It is a good chance for us to get a real feel for the strength of the team against a strong opposition. I still have my concerns about our defence as well, would like to see a CB come in as we only have Pearce and Lees who are out and out CBs really! As for good ol' Ken going, I don't have anything positive to say about him, but fingers crossed there is some more investment coming in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Bonjour tout le monde, buenos dias todos, morgen alle, morning all. The news of KB's departure - demise? - has put me in such a good mood, just in time for my next anniversary. Now we are finally rid of the bastard, I can happily spend some guilt-free money on my glorious club once more. Starting with today's match - gonna ride over and get my ticket around midday, possibly visit the superstore and see the new away kit in the flesh, consider "New Era 13" on the back, and cheer on the guys. Come on you mighty mighty mighty whites!
Morning all. I've made my views on KB known regularly over the last few years. Suffice to say, the reason we are still in existence is at least in part due to his putting the club back on a more secure footing than was the case a few years ago. That said, he's now gone. So let's move on. Today & allowing for BMD not being able to choose his strongest team due to injuries should give us an idea of the sort of season ahead of us. All I want is a committed performance & BMD showing his footballing knowledge by changing things around if it looks as though we're being overrun.
Your positivity knows no bound, you even find nice thinks to say about Bates. You're not a priest or member of the clergy by any chance?
Eire, I laid my views about Bates on here a year or more back and it wasn't at all taken well. I'll recap, and I expect a hell of a lot of disagreements but I think Bates was the right owner for us at the right time. We were never gonna make it huge again with him at the helm but he stabilised the club by whatever means necessary and we are in a much better position now. It may have taken us longer than we all hoped but we were there in the end, the only reason I wanted him to leave in the end was because of the outstanding amount of fans against him and once it gets to that point the club just was not able to progress any further with him in charge. He wanted to do things his way and the fans wanted it done a different way, it all got out of hand after that imo. But as already said, thats the past, lets look forward
