Is the Sky quote of a 2 year contract correct? Why the **** do you pay a sizeable fee, by our standards, to only give a 2 year contract?
Is he Ivory Coast International? If so we might lose him to the ACON, also is it a 2 year contract? Surprised if it is, would have thought at least 3 years. Hopefully does the good bits that Cousin did & doesn't sulk like him.
Yes he has played once for the national team, and 5 times for the u23, but Drogba has been in his way.
So if it goes wrong we don't end up with a Ghilas situation where we're stuck with him on sizeable wages for years. Seems entirely sensible with a relatively unknown entity if you ask me.
I don't see that release clause being a problem for us within the next two years. If it does then he'll have done well. Win-win.
£5m release clause seems strange: if he has a 'Benteke' type season as Brucey believes he can, then we'll be losing out, even though we'd of course be making a profit. It also leaves us open to offers from teams who might be our relegation rivals who throw money around, strengthening their team and weakening ours. Why only a 2 year deal too?
Welcome to Hull City, Mr Sagbo. Don't be too disheartened by the fact you were our twelfth choice of forward.
Hopefully he makes a big impact. He looks like a big guy so hopefully he just bullies the defenders and causes trouble. Looking forward to seeing him play.
Don't know why Erik doesn't just go and slash his wrists now, save us all from his negative ramblings
The thing is he can't be proven wrong. Even if we finished top half he'd say it was only because everyone else was so ****, like he did last season when his analysis of our promotion chances proved so inaccurate.
This is a strange deal, 2 year contract and a 5 million release clause? If he looks even half decent that's peanuts to almost another EPL team who will just buy him because he's cheap then we is in the same situation again.
