Why would this be bad news for us? TWS going out of existence would not be good for anyone. A decent TWS would mean meaningful derbies rather than the made up in peoples head rivalry we have at the moment. Yes I know why (and I include me in that) we mostly don't like them, and the ER Whites are just scum, but we're just a joke or worse, inconsequential, to the majority of TWS fans. Being in the same league, for a decent time, and a decent game history would start to mean something. Bates should never be allowed near another club, TWS are well rid. He makes my skin crawl.
The reason for him leaving is in The Observor today - not really a surprise. Hopefully he now never enters the country
