I think the comments were planned to make it look like the club is incompetent. Just another step in engineering his departure.
Hopper didn't want to play in the Championship...when a Prem club comes in (on near as the same offer)....it is a no-brainer. what is there to understand....He goes to the prem Tend to agree...Harry is blaming the club, for a no-win situation (not the clubs fault...other than for letting itself be demoted)....Harry is getting the evidence together isn't he...for later

Spot on. It's obvious Hooper would have preferred to play in the Premier League given the chance. Which makes Harry opening his fat gob and alerting every Prem club that Hooper was about to sign for a Championship club even more ridiculous.
The problem is that Harold likes the limelight....he is Mr Rent a Quote, he can't help himself..... I don't blame anyone, that a suckers game leading only to bitterness, too much of that going around already. You see this kind of gazumping all time, it's part of the transfer market now, didn't we steal Remy from under the nose of Newcastle. it must be the clubs fault, as they would inform harry that the deal is done, so he can only go by what he has been told, unless he is angling for a move out, but he is media savvy
