Not sure really but think in these terms 12 days 2 guys = 24 working days or shall we say 5 weeks, given 46 working weeks in a year would equate to a rounded salary of about £26000 without materials if anyone can live of 26k I'm a monkeys budgie so in those terms reasonable.
Cheers, Aberdeen. It does sound reasonable when you put it like that. It's very difficult for me to judge how long such a job ought to take...many years since I went up a ladder - or a tower for that matter. I think I shall have to cough up...
My only concern is the lenth of time they say it will take, you could maybe indicate that if the job is done quicker you would expect the price to be altered accordingly.
Evening all from a roasting Pafos - weather is to be expected, but the Keo is cold and the cocktails hitting the spot. Reasonable WiFi in the hotel, so staying in touch in the bar whilst Mrs W_Y is doing her hair...very excited about all the players signed but miffed I will be missing Brum away.
Thanks...I'll raise that with them. They're very local and their reputation is fine so I don't think they'll be on a go-slow. One of the benefits of retirement is that you can be around to keep an eye on progress.
evening all...i think i might have my internet back, but i'm not sure! It went again, in case you didn't realise...this is so flipping frustrating!!!
Morning all, another storm overnight I am told although I didn't hear it and Mme tells me that it wasn't so close as the night before. Seems as if it is moving north and will be hitting the south coast of England later. Need to get a couple of jobs done, watering not required this morning, then out for the day. I read that for the game at the Vic they are only going to open the Rous stand. Cannot be expecting too many fans there. I suppose it shows that we could manage with a one sided ground.
Morning all from a cloudy, but humid, Jersey. We're supposed to have heavy rain and thunderstorms during the day, depending when we get them it could be a bit of a problem as I'm going to a BBQ at a couple of colleagues house this afternoon to celebrate their children's birthdays.
