--------------Suarez------------- Cazorla-----Fabregas-----Walcott -------Wilshere------Arteta------ Monreal----Kosc--Mert----Sagna -----------------Szs------------ Subs: Flappy, Verm, Jenk/gibbs, Ramsey, Rosicky, Podolski, Giroud With oxocube, Diaby (when fit LOL) and youngsters for depth. Could maybe still add a CB or DM to give the suqad real depth throughout, but attacking wise thats just about as good as you could hope for...
Arteta is our most important player. Regarding el traidor (the traitor) i can see him going to manure, and i can see Wenger giving manure his blessing, as he proved with Van Pussy, he has no issue strengthening a direct rival.
Have to say that it would be bloody funny if the release clause was 25M fixed and Fabregas was just trying to encourage Barcelona to trigger it, so that he could come back to us for only 25M.
Well seeing as the Cesc move is really out of his hands I fail to see how this is his fault. Only thing he can do is trigger the release clause and event hen its up to Cesc. Personally this Manure crap is BS. Pretty much everyone at Barca have said its crap.
Maybe I am a sucker, but if Cesc does want to go to Man Utd he has completely fooled me. I follow Arsenal news as closely as anyone and everything I have read and watched would make me think, he first of all isn't going to leave Barca, but if he did, Arsenal would be his only other destination.
barcastuff ‏@barcastuff 3m Martino (new coach Barcelona): "Man United want Cesc? If the club rejected two offers, I will reject it a third time. Cesc will be here."
This is from the BBC Sportsday page FOOTBALL FC Barcelona vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu on Cesc Fabregas' future: "It doesn't matter what any offer from Manchester United is - we're not selling him. We're counting on him. He's not for sale. "If there was a higher offer would we accept it? No. He's a great player. It doesn't bother us that Manchester United want him. We're proud that a club like that wants one of our players."
So its looking like Fabregas will get that extra season he wants. If he does well he will stay longer, if he still doesn't get to where he wants to and the fans don't warm to him as much we may see this all flair up again next summer. Might be better for us if we strengthen other areas this summer and then put together a 12month campaign to bring Fabregas back just like Barca did to us... Then sign him ready for next season having already won the title with Suarez scoring 30 goals....
Brilliant news on Cesc, as I suspected, Sky have been withholding information on our chances of getting him to fuel their Cesc to United agenda. Funny how the news of our £34.4M release clause has only become public since it has become clear United won't be getting him.
I won't believe it until the transfer window closes, just because the clubs say he's not for sale doesn't mean it's over
They seem very adamant. For a new manager to say at his first press conference that he will reject a 3rd bid without even looking at it and then go on to sell him would make him look like an idiot. However, as long as Cesc is unsure of his future (if he even is), we are still in with a chance of getting him, although in this case it looks like Wenger was right when he said Cesc was going to give it 1 more year. Looks like Moyes has embarrassed himself on this one.
